I'd be pretty interested in some of these for the MX5 especially if they're a comfier setup than the HRs. Would they come with pillowball uppers? If so that's amazing value!
You can have stiffer springs yes, and this will make them more suitable for track use yes.
But honestly the difference between the TT or a BC coilover when compaired to the HSD HR is pretty huge. If you can afford to wait and go for the HR then do it. If you can only afford the TT then yes, go for them with the 8/6 springs and they will be okay
I like the sound of the TT's being a bit softer for road use as i use my 200 for day to day use, but i will also be doing the odd trackday and drift day.
Could the HR's be fitted with the TT springs 6/4? and would there be any benefit to doing that?
At the moment i have KYB shocks and Eibach springs.
Hi UrbanRacer, if you're using the car track use etc etc then you would see value in going for the HSD HRs with 6/4 (the Smoothies). They would perform better overall than the TTs, as they are a more expensive monotube damper setup. The ride would be a little harsher than the TTs as they're a more performance focused damper, but as the name suggests (Smoothie) they're not going to be unpleasent.
If you're going low you'll need at least toe arms, if you want to dial your camber in to spec then you'll need camber arms, and if you want it to steer and track nicely you'll want tension rods. If you're doing that lot, the traction rod is worth it to just finish it off and tighten the whole setup up. So basically, yes.
