New Toy yay

I used to ride Trials

15th in uk at Junor Level 99'

i had a DMR, might of been a Trek in 99 actually
used to ride every day till i passed my test,

then i swapped my bike for a 205 GTI

wish i kept it up coz i was gettin good,

had a shop will to back me and was
getting a clothing deal with Howies,

never mind, got a free pair of jeans though

that look ace phil i've been thinkin about getting another bike coz i'd rather put the cash back into my car at the mo, coz it definately needs it.

I had the odd crack at biking in the woods, and the odd face plant

Best of my mishaps was on a motorbike though!! I managed to wheelie into a tennis net, have it snap and whip across me, crack a couple of ribs (and cycle home) while being taught to ride by the police

Damn we could almost start a driftworks bike team, nice bike Phil they ride really well. Didn't know you were a grease monkey before
Think everyone who rode should buy a 50 though, then if I bring mine to a drift day no one will want a go :)

Morf that's pretty impressive :D

CorollaRWD, I think we should deffo have a driftworks wheelie competition :D infact let's have a hang 5 competition :D  :D

i'm up for the wheelie comp - my old party trick was the no-front-wheel wheelie :D haven't done much riding at all since i passed my test 2 and a half years ago, i so need to get back into it for the sake of my fitness  too much of a shitebag to try anything i used to do too...

oh, and you can't beat a little hardtail :) i'm 6'2-ish as well and my little club roost thing has been mistaken for a bmx by many passers by, 24" back wheel too. didn't do my knees much good either due to the fact i rode it everywhere and anywhere with the saddle as low as it would go  the one thing i have noticed from not riding the bike in a while however - you never forget how to wheelie :D

love that cannondale phil, and that wee trials bike, they're so much fun  my tailbone disagrees with that however

Rob,
Did you get your Trek from Biketrax?
Not around the Team biketrax howies deal?
Alex

Yeah i did get if from biketrax, its so long now i can't remember who was in charge but gav used to work thier still, the chelmsford shop showed some interest in backing me but then closed down while it was still under descussion, and as i didn't drive brentwood felt like mars so i didn't pursue it.

I went straight to Howies my self knowing they backed alot of riders round my area (biketrax deal)

i got some stickers and a pair of jeans out of them oh and a beenie

bloody hell i loved that beenie if anyone can find me a HOwies beenie (original) i'll do anythink!

how do you know this mate?

With a name like that it can only be Captin Matt. Dunno what happened to the Beer Monsters they probably got old.

Jay

damn phil, sweet bike!

I'd swap the truvativ cranks though, one snapped on me while riding off a curb! get some Race Face, I'm guessing its bot an ISIS BB too?

Damn I miss my bike! had a pimp as fuck MsIsle that I sold for £500 to buy car parts :(

Can get you a lovely set for you cheap
Can't remember if you can still get the Driftworks Orange though, Bad ass black is always nice though

 don't like things snapping it generally hurts quite a bit :(..

How cheaps cheap? I've no idea about bike parts anymore, but I still use the bike shop I worked at over a period of about 10 years so can usually get a good discount :)

i had a DMR side kick, lovel'y frame, had hope disks but they weren't givin me what i needed for trials so i went back to maguras

soon as i got the disk wet and muddy which is most of the time it would give me the solid lock to hold the bike on the back wheel, and when ur hovering the front wheek over a 10ft drop while just on your back wheel it wasn't a good idea, they where great brakes for everything else though,

but maguras kick ass for trials only thing is when its really muddy the catch the mud, coz the phat tyre would only just clear them anyway
