a tuned MG ZS kicking out 150, with enough torque to spin the front wheel up into 4th
I've been reading through this thread and I was wondering on what people's thoughts are on a RWD conversion for drifting? I'm 18 and currently driving a tuned MG ZS kicking out 150, with enough torque to spin the front wheel up into 4th... I've been on a skid pan with it and I'm able to force a 'drift' out of it on most corners in the dry now so I'm wanting to move on to some proper drifting as opposed to just ripping the handbrake and skidding with style Would a RWD conversion be the right way to go? I absolutely love this car and it's very well known in my area and at local shows... My other option would be an S15 or R34 (money isn't really that much of an issue as I have a few motorbikes I can sell to raise a few extra grand if needed) What's the best route to take and would a RWD conversion be a waste of money and ruin the handling or not? please help!!
agree with this.Use your money to buy something cheap! Don't think about S15's and R34's etc... As even if you have the money to buy one you will be too scared to learn in it! Consider one of the usual cheap beginner cars such as E36 BMW's, MX5's etc...

Why bother trailering a car? A decent trailer costs loads, then the cost of the car and having to get someone who can trailer it all the time?!!? madness! just buy a cheaper car u can actually drive, you'll learn most driving it day to day anyway!
It's got a 1.8 honda civic engine in with an air intake kit, upgraded clutch and gearbox, uprated brakes all round, uprated flywheel and cams, plug and play Spider Performance tuning kit and waiting to have a turbo installed. and to everyone saying I haven't thought about cost's of converting, It would be done by me and my dad + his staff (he owns a few tuning companies) and it will cost me around £1'800 for parts which I can get at a discount cause of my dad's company :') And bristol.e36, It's wearing Pzero Nero's and has 326Nm torqueYou say that it's "Tuned" and kicking out 150, I presume that it is a 1.8 K-Series? What tuning has been done? The 1.8 K-Series (and 1.4 and 1.6!) Are not really that great! Very prone to head gasket failure! There are much much much better engine out there!

The reason I'm 'only driving a ZS' is because at the time I bought it I had two motorbikes and couldn't really afford anything more My insurance is reasonably low as I've got 2 years ncb from my bike insurance which I carried over to my car as I stayed with same insurers
