The Greddy E-manage Ultimate is here, I've got quite a bit of study material to go through until the rest of the stuff I need to get this on the car & working arrives.

The build quality is top notch as I would be expecting of Greddy, let's hope it works as well as it's built.

After a quick browse through the documentantion it seems to be a very smart and flexible unit with a ton of features, so far I'm happy with the choice I made.
(Later edit : I will fit it to the new engine I'll swap the SR for, so thank god I didn't buy a Nistune board)

I'm waiting for the master & slave clutch cylinders that have been ordered, hope they fit as they are not for my car model and a bit uprated. Then it's back on the street.

Finally some of the parts ordered from the states have arrived so we'll be able to at least fit the bare essentials to the car.

Already changed the master & slave clutch cylinders with the new ones, fitted the Driftworks clutch dampener elimination line and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results, clutch feel is much improved and it's action is very pricise and quick.

Among other things the pre and after turbo gaskets, 76mm flex pipe and Innovate wideband have arrived so hopefully time permitting all these will get fitted soon thus eliminating the boost loss and giving me the ability to monitor the AFRs.

The 19mm nuts have arrived as well so I've finally been able to fit the 17" STR wheels and get the car finally looking decent enough. The tyres on the STRs are very good which is why I'll keep them for front grip, thus the below video is short because I don't want to ruin them. Steering feel and action is much improved as it would be expected with 17s & lower profile tires. Nissan rocks :)

I'm very busy with work at the moment so parts photos will be posted later on.

On the street again (finally) :

Here's a little clip shot after the mini photo session. Because of the angle it's been filmed at it seems I straightened out in the corner but I was actually sideways until the end of 1st. Still losing a lot of boost an only have power over 5000rpm which is why I have to give it more beans to make it go.

Hello guys, another little update is in order. The S13 will have a younger sister, I just bought a S14 from the UK which I'll come to collect on the 1st of February. It's going to be a backup car for when the S13 in in the shop for body or complicated mechanical work or if it breaks down and I need to participate in an event. I don't plan to build it up to be very extreme, more of an advanced street car of sorts.

It's a 1994 non-VVT (which is what I was looking for), in very good condition, no accidents, UK car from new (not a grey import), no mods what so ever so less chances of it having been abused. Not exactly the color I was hoping for but that's that.

I made a bit of time and took some photos of the parts that arrived from the US in this batch. Still waiting for quite a few more.

- Clutch master & slave cylinders
- 2 sets of 20 19mm nuts 12x1.25, these should sort out all my wheel fitting troubles for a while.
- Pre and after turbo gaskets
- Original Nissan key, my current one is an aftermarket 300zx key, looks cool but I wanted to have an original one for the model.

08.jpg

- 76mm flex pipe
- Wideband Innovate LC-1 with smoked blue LED gauge and Bosch oxygen sensor.

09.jpg

- HKS SSQV3 Blow off valve + 2.5" flange. The recycling kit has not yet arrived so it's going to be stored until then. No wooosh here. At least until I can compensate the engine overfueling with the electronics. We'll see.

10.jpg

- "Diamond cut" retro illumination headlights, cheap but they'll do the job, current ones don't provide enough lighting and look way outdated. The blue running lights will be removed.
icon_smile.gif

- Button clusted for various functions I will want to control. It will be painted black and nicely adapted to the car, I can't stand fake immitations.

11.jpg

- Solid motor mounts machined from delrin
- Solid tranny mount made of aluminum, I ordered a delrin one but they sent aluminum by mistake, talked to the selled and they'll send a delrin one as well. Al seems like a great guy, I have to say. His ebay ID is t72dawg
- Complete polyurethane bushes kit, when/if I have the time I will make some nicer photos with all the parts visible and arranged, to be honest they're too many and I'm too lazy.

12.jpg

- Aluminum steering bush
- 2 sets of 4 point harnesses + shoulder pads, cheepo stuff because I eventually want to have two sets of Takatas and as you know they're quite expensive and there are other priorities, these will do till then, they're decent enough quality. Hope I don't get to actually need them.

- Wiring harnesses for the rear lights I ordered, they are in another package which hasn't arrived yet.
- And ending with something that will keep up warm while working on the car in the long winter nights.

As promised here ar pics with the fitted aluminul rear subframe collars and Driftworks clutch line. We're also making progress on the new home for our projects, cement plaque has been pored and we're waiting for it to properly harden before mounting the elevator.

My R154 gearbox has just arrived along with six 7MGTE 440cc injectors. I'll be looking for another injector set and I should be fine. This is pretty much stocking for the engine swap I'm planning. I won't give out any details on this until it's certain and I buy the donor car (looking ...). All I can say is that it's not what most consider the "logical" choice hehe. I'll post pics with the injectors another time, I don't have any right now.

I'm also looking for an upgraded first gear thrust washer for the R154, those seem to be their only serious weakness.

At the time we're working on the exhaust as you can see in the pics below.

Fingers crossed by tonight I'll know if I have the donor car. If not, I have others lined up :)

Turbo went to a specialist for a few minor fixes and has returned in the mean time :

I'm one happy lil' bunny, I finally got a Soarer, a car I've been wanting to have for the past 8 years or so, big fan
icon_smile.gif

As planned I got one with a 1UZ-FE Lexus V8 engine which I plan on swapping over to my S13 mated to the R154 manual box. In regards to the forced induction plans I settled on a twin-turbo setup with the rather inexpensive but still decently potent Garett T25 turbos. My power goals are relatively modest and more geared towards a wide torque band and little to no lag as well as quick spool. I'm aiming for ~400whp and ~600Nm. On a ~1.15 ton machine this should be more than enough to be competitive at any level.

Here's my new baby. I have plans for her as well and they start with 18-19" chrome lip rims hehe. It will be an interesting project but not exactly drift related so I won't showcase it here.

001.jpg

If anyone has info on the stock mass flow and volumetric efficiency of the 1UZ as well as a compressor map for the T25 please share :) I've been looking around for these with no luck.

Someone from the lextreme forum helped me out big time with this link and that saved me hours of math formula calculations, so I think sharing it here might help others :

Not a lot has happened after my last update on the Nissan, however the plans with the other cars have changed .. slightly. Because of a "nice" seller that forgot to mention the S14s engine's got a knock I had to find another car to buy and luckily after riding in the first (white) Soarer I was not at all disapointed so I got the UZZ32 I've been wanting for so long.

Here's a few pics with my new mistresses.

Before leaving the UK for the "old continent" :

And finally in home cleaning up the european dust off them.

The 1UZ-FE engine off the white one will go into my competition S13 and hopefully we'll be able to stick two small turbos in for good measure.

The blue one is for my own personal self as a toy and most likely never ever see a drift event in my possession. It would be a shame to damage such a rare car (<850 UZZ32s ever made, probably <500 on the road now).

On the S13 front, I've ordered the MAX Angle Kit which will hopefully fix my abysmal turning angle and while we'll make preparations for the V8 transplant the SR will be mostly left alone for 1-2 stages. The first stage is on the 19-20th March in my home town (drats) so I've upped the ante a bit on the training time, wouldn't like to make a fool of myself (much).

A nice little landscape (shhh) :

Road events that have resulted in fatalities :

And here's my first practice session where I didn't have to care much about trees, gutters and sirens (finally). Many thanks to the hosts at Excess Tuning in Dancu. Vid is a bit long so not for those that get bored easily.

Sorry for the long post, I'll try to condense more events from now on in single posts to avoid bumping this small project over other projects that people would actually be interested in :)
