Articsponge,

I have been trying to stress for quite a while now that if we do not take into consideration how our hobby has an impact on those who live near to the places which we practice that alas the few legal places to practice will be forced to shut their doors to drifting.
If you has ever been along to a DWYB event you would know that in every briefing i plead with the attendees to drive responsibly through the local villages. I cannot stress how much it makes my blood boil when i get reports back from local drifter who do live in the villages about the selfish numpties who think they are cool and choose to ignore the request
This is a key point . Tyre noise is always going to be present. However exhaust noise is something that we can tackle head on.
We as owners of drift cars are responsible to ensuring that we do not antagonise locals by having unnecessarily loud exhausts.
We need to make it trendy for people to have well prepared drift cars with quiet exhausts and totally uncool to have a shed with all the baffles removed.
This alone would mean that the drone of drift cars would not be so bothersome to those who do live nearby and could go a long way to help mend any rifts caused by us partaking in our hobby.

In Bozeat and Wollaston I can only hear exhaust noise.
