norfolk arena drift team membership

cheers matt for the pics. they are after id rebuilt it, it was about 4" further back...

HELL YEAH IT RAN AGAIN. i couldnt let the old girl die there.

i got a transition wrong an went square into the wall at about 40mph, the front came back to the sub frame but pulled it back out and fitted a bmw rad to it with cable ties and went back out. the dizzy packed up though, new one is on its way monday and with some bracing it will be at the next king of the ring.

the damage on the rear was from different taps with the armco, at essex and POD.

i was loving the wet skidding, totally new experience but awsum.

once my stiff neck and shoulders wears off ill start the rebuild.

wait till the fronts protected, even the A-TEAM would be impressed. ram raids all over the south here i come...

ive even cracked a rim and its still holding air, some how. it refuses to die.:smash::smash::wack::wack::dw::dw:

its only serious when its over, and i didnt hear any fat ladys singing because my exhaust had come off, so it aint over yet.

ill do my best to get it to norfolk 1 last time for its 10th memorial outing, then it will be broke for parts. some one wants the engine.

we all need serious seat time, but for thrills not skills, you drift well for the seat time youve had, one to watch in the future i thinks.

cheers Tom, means a lot you saying that as it makes me have more drive to get the car back :D

To be fair i think you should be in competitions with your driving skills :)

cheers mate, but im not consistent enough for comps, yet. plus im too busy at work, maybe in the 2011 season, BDC amature (sp) maybe.

might be the old suspension bushes, twisted chassis or just my driving but i have very good and then very poor runs on the same day, i think i need less seat time and more focussed shorter runs. so rather than doing 30 laps til the tyres pop do 5-6 laps well and on the same lines an then rest. i seam to relax after 10 laps and get cocky and lazy then it goes wrong, the arena wall has taught me that.

most comps are only 3 laps per heat anyway.

you gave the senny some good stick and that isnt a recognised drift car normally.

dude you were rocking it at the beginning of the day untill your little off! if you had had the rest of the day prectice, would have stood a good chance in the comp. & i still say u need a clutch pedal on tracks like norfolk etc.

OR a bit of left foot braking  and bias to the fronts:thumbs:

Tom is a real hero that car was so smashed when he braught it in the pits but the dedication to get it going was impressive he was at it for about 3 hours and he got it running. Image all the parts that were damaged - radiator, oil cooler, distributor, radiator fan to name just a few
