norfolk arena drift team membership

Cool, it's be nice to squeeze a practice in before BDC arrives at Norfolk. Not too soon though as I have these DriftWorks coilovers to fit and (if I can find some money) maybe a real hydraulic handbrake.

Plus I've just swapped to 14" wheels and it'd be nice to find out how it goes without my lucky 15" Marangonis on the front (I've had the same front tyres on it for two years). I need to do a front tyre pressure sweep to find out what works best with Toyo T1Rs.

Still trying to sort a date out as this is there busy month, Fare play to Nath, he has been trying to get the speedway dates confirmed so that he can slot us in,
we maybe able to do an evening one as the light is still good:smokin:

can help you with the tyres, we ran simular on the hot rods:thumbs:

Oooh, more on this please. I'm running 195/55R14 on 6" rims. Currently got 27psi in them and the car weighs something like 900kg.

you may need to adjust the tracking or camber a little bit, can be trial and error,
we use a heat laser to check the tyre right across to see that all the tyre is working,
will bring it to the next 1,
we weight the car as well as we have a set of scales but thats a bit ott for drift days, but we found that on the bm 205/55/15 at 26 psi worked the best, but as you no every car and driver are different,
toyo's run different componds as well, softer they are the quicker they warm up but the shorter they last!

captain, ive got a 14" firestone kicking around in the van, ill bring it up to the next one for you to kill. its free.

i ran a pair of 3mm deep colway rally intermediates on the front at pod, what a hell of a difference, far more responsive and much more all out grip, but 2-3 sets of rears and they now resemble slicks....but well worth the £1.75 for them off ebay.

Cheers Tom, much appreciated. I just got rid of a pair of Colway cut slicks - great in the dry, no grip at all in the wet - I used to have to bring spare fronts in case it rained

Cookwibble had pair off me but I don't know if he ever got them fitted - the tyre guys at Norfolk were fighting with them last I saw. Stiffest sidewalls ever. It took me an hour to get them off my old wheels.

never evvaaar managed to get them on :(
they would have owned all on the front of the corolla

I like the sounds of a evening practice! as I work most weekend mornings!
hopefully leaves me plenty of time to strip the sierra and make my handbrake.

Volvo Tom in a sierra:smash:

now then, can help you out if you are running a sieera, that was our main motor for the lightning rods, the stock car and the world championship run for the super rods:p

is it staying road legal

evenin sound quite cool:thumbs:, not sure how many could get there though ! but all the same count me in :dw:

pm'd mate.

looking at all ways of gettin out on track, we could do evenings but it is expensive to run the lighting, dont think if we charged double it would cover the cost, but never say never, prob have to give up on august as stadium have got some monster events coming up, world finals and big speedways so we have to wait for a gap, they have been really good to us so only fare we look out for them as well:D
