One of my pet hates

Well I'm gonna stick by what I said as where possible people do want to mirror there cars to the the reason they got into this in the first place. I love the original/correct Jap parts/rims etc fitted on Jap cars be they standard or modified. Even down to the BBS rims fitted to the BNR32VSpec2 that aren't even Jap ;) .

Glen

ps. anyway stop picking on me cause your having a bad day :D

I can see your point though Glen, with stuff like Chav-spec flat faced rims like Halford's stylee Khan

OYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

Kahns are damn nice wheels and look bloody good on my S12, where 99% of everything else make it look shit.

A certain Mr Beaumont (and a Mr Norris before him) happen to have Kahns on rather rapid S13s ;) :D

You'd need to have a high torqued-up S13 just to turn the bloody huge lumps of chav-spec cast ally...

And the S13's would have to be rapid to get them home before the big-ends start to knock ;)

So there to Mr Beauford :dermal: or Mr Norris :dermal: :dermal: and Mr Whoever-you-like :p

This is a fun game, venting pet hates..

Victor Meldrew mode on

I see both sides of the wheel thing, but mainly hate to see poor quality rims on an otherwise sweet motor irrespective of their origin.

Chavs putting tuner stickers on mummy's shopping cart is not only sad but its embarassing for her when she has to go to work in it, stop it, its not clever, neither are the poor quality neon kits or giagantic spoilers on the roof of her poor hatchback.

GT kid's / chavs / boy racers (whtever) in 1.6 Vectras and primeras with Mitsi Evo Bodykits and bonnets installed :wack: now that annoys me. YES kid you can't afford an EVO but why draw attention to the fact by fcuking up a standard car? Work your ass off and stop wasting your time dreaming, save up and then buy a god damn EVO!!

Its not just kids that wind me up..
Theres a whole gang of really really spiteful old people with all the driving skill of my mates 3 legged retarded cat. Some that pull out randomly causing me to flat spot my tyres to avoid smashing my car and then proceed give me abuse out of their window and buggering off at dangerously high speed in 30 limits and the ones who you slow down to let out in to traffic flow only to regret it because they are driving at 15mph and only know how to use 1st gear.

Stone chippings.. enough said.

Traffic wardens slapping a ticket on me 15 days till payday when all my bill have gone out of my account.. wait till pay day and suddenly the ticket price has doubled.

Victor Meldrew mode off

I feel much better now

Jon

I think glens point isn't purely about the place of origin, and more to do with the fact that its impossible to source rims from uk suppliers that don't come in 17x7 +600 offset :dermal:

and don't get me started on Kahns. the mind boggles why Mr Norris spends ££££££'s on engine, transmission and suspension mods then goes to halfords for his wheels :wack:

Maybe he knows something you dont ........... I get at least another 30 bhp from my wheels Ill have you know :wack: ;)

Imagine the gains on a 600 bhp car ......... this is why he doesnt have to use giggle gas  ;)

You only have to pick up a japanese wheel compared with most copy branded wheel and you know it makes sense, BBS, compo and speedline are a cool alternative though. Added to the extra strength of those wheel most copy wheels are weak low quality cast.
You get what you pay for.
I would have loved a set of TE37 on my cossy but sadly they didn't make anything near the right size :wack:

Pet hates, hmmmmmm, gonna be a long one.....

4 wheel drive "rally" cars whose owners think they're the nuts and claim about their successfull "race wins" on wet roundabouts :dermal:

Mynheer, Animal and other rather gay bodykits on crappy FWD hatchbacks! :dermal:

The KENgenstion charge and other over-inflated taxes on motoring!

People who say "how much fuel does it use?" rather than "how fast is it?" when you talk about a V8 engined beauty. :dermal:

People who drive very expensive newish, quite fast motors in suits who try and bully other road users, I generally get my revenge on them usually though! ;)

Do-gooders and left wing loonies who are more bothered about "rights for vegetables" than the good of the majority.

Cyclists that don't obey traffic lights (usually a hypocritical do-gooder, see above)

Chavs, now I'm not going to "go on about it", coz we'll be here until Xmas 2005.

Blokes with "man bags", its just a handbag ffs, stop being a gayboy and put stuff in your pocket or clip it to your belt! :dermal: :wack:

People who whinge about me driving well over 100mph on an empty motorway in good conditions with good visability, good tyres, brakes, etc etc, then driving on the same stretch driving at 70mph when the motorway is packed and there is heavy fog!

Alloys that are too big for the car (ie 19s on a Saxo) :dermal:

Thiefs and vandalls, makes me want to kill!

I'm sure there's more, but I'll tell ya what, that felt better! :smash:

Bloody hell what have you done :wack:
Actually nothing.

I accept people have there own personal pet hates that will of course somewhere down the line touch on something I or others do/have. I'm certainly not upset by this but find it amusing and interesting.

It's all about being able to come to terms and happily deal with the fact that someone perhaps has a pet hate of what you have or do.

See, no need for spitefullness or nastiness  .

Peace and love and understanding  .
