Haha.. Its not that.. Its just some retarded quote of something i said on the way home. For some reason, it made me and Mike piss our pants, but you had to be there as ive found out when i explained it to Mrs P tonight. Oh well.. :D

aye was a cool day!

Hahah sucks when you try an explain things like that, u would have defineltly had to be there to witness the coolness of the english language.

Well it was funny.....but I think I definately had to be there coz it didn't make me cry...un-like paz :D

is it done yet...?

Ben quick question

Where did you set the block/piston deck height?

I was told 0.020 below deck, so when I went to check my motor the pistons come up 0.013 above the deck

Now I am trying to figure out what to do about it

Pull the motor down yet again to have the pistons machined. I really don’t want to do this since they have ceramic tops

Get the head machined

Get extra thick head gaskets

Any ideas

Thanks

ideally you want to set the piston deck height at either 2 thou in or out of the hole, depending on the gasket your using and what rods your using and overall weight.

Paz's pistons are sitting 17 thou out of the hole, so with a 40 thou gasket i had to drop the quench pads 30 thou, then skim it flat again 2 thou to give me the clearance and chamber volume i needed.

I wouldnt skim pistons ever.

If you need the head quench pads CNC'ed just drop me a PM.

almost, but right at this moment i've not had any spare time.

Piston/squirter clearance and ALSO squirter crank counterweight clearance was ZERO, so had to be taken apart again so i can modify the pistons and drop the squirter's.

Ok will talk to my local guy Mr Field then :worthy:

Being nosey what you got left to do to the Paz lump and how long, any ideas on power guessimates?

were limited to 8500rpm, so your looking at a 200bhp max really for that sort of RPM.

Things left to do.

Head - final port detailing, seat polishing (kinda like lapping), build up, shimming.

Block - piston slots machined, reinstall.

Check piston/head and piston/valve clearances.....then do the final torque up.

Sounds like a litte, but if i were to work constantly, it would take about 2 working days.
