Phil drifting a Dodge Viper

Nice vid, cant wait to get my game for Christmas now :D

Was this using a wheel ? Has anyone tried this game on the normal joypad ? Is this game worth investing in a devent wheel ? Im a bit of an old skool gamer and prefer to do everything on a pad, but Im suspecting now days that the wheel just has more precise inputs ? What wheel is best to get (remember this means cheapest lol )
 
I dont think its Phil as I saw it about a week ago and Im sure the guy is form the US. He's using a wheel as well :thumbs:

After playing this with a pad i would say it has to be on a wheel as i would have spun out on some of those high speed drifts with that amount of angle he had.

Best value wheel thats good quality is the logitech driving force GT at around £65 ish. It's made especially for GT5. I'm not sure how sh*t the cheaper ones are though? The G25/7 are silly big money which I couldn't warrant.
 
Wow, how shit does the rendering look when the car passes in front of the smoke? I haven't seen pixels like that since Space Invaders.
 
One thing that GT5 has really got going for it, from that video, is a decent amount of smoke, and not the wank that Forza 3 had.

Neither are super realistic sims tbh, they're crippled by being on a console, but still, good control there. Couldn't stand the audio though...
 
Definitely not me :wack:.. looks pretty cool though. First computer game I've seen that's had realistic smokes
 
It reminded me of the first vid of you at Silverstone when the S15 was new. It wasn't serious but I think maybe a few people took it a little serious :|
