Are these all Re:Amimiya lights? Look ike it, but not sure. Shame you have to run the RE Am bumper to fit em. The money I had to spend to not do that almost made me cry, but nobbing off the popups is a big weight saving on FCs

I'm pretty sure the top FC on the mesh has an R-Magic kit/bumper with their light conversion (smaller image in the middle of this pic).

RE:Am stuff seems to have a curved recess design while the R-Magic are square.

And the bottom FC is all BN Sports.. the BN and R-Magic front bumper can run a conversion or retain the pop ups.

That bottom black/BN FC to me looks like a BN/R-Magic combo without the plastic cover on the light conversion. Like this..

And the bonnet if yer interested looks like a Sankou Auto one.. V sexy. Fits with the lines of the wings so nice imo.

I'm not pretty amazed at some of the wheels people have fitted under what looks like stock arches on the front now. I tried Starion widebody rear wheels on the front of mine the other day (16x8J ET-10) and I had huge poke! With some rolling and 205 tyres they'll JUST fit I think.
Might just have to run them on the rear instead :p

I know what Stav means, the headlight motors etc are pretty heavy. I'm tempted to do what Doz has done on his S13.

Dunno about stock arches, but wider ones can fit serious fronts, see 245s on em a fair bit, and mines got 235s with zero rubbage even seriously low with tons of lock and minus offset.

And with the lights, well, when you can get them under 900kg even with a serious cage and metal roof/doors, it shows how much weight there is in things. Im on a serious weight saving thing on mine, everything else is fine and dont wanna affect anything, just want it faster, so ill jus add lightness.

Hers my solution to heavy ass lights, literally the last brand new set in the entire world it seems, infact the common story has always been they have been unavailable for many years, but not quite...

Comprehensive bit of kit, even a plug n play wiring loom n fully adjustable beam for MOT purposes. Best of all, it all weighs around 2kg, stock stuff, thanks to the motors, weighs a LOT, exactly the amount im not sure.

One my new tailgate turns up that will be a godsend, it weighs 6.5kg all in, stock one, even without the rear wiper, weighs 26kg!

Wowee! That's a lot of weight saving! Bet those lights aren't cheap though are they? Hence probably going custom route like Doz's, but everything is MEGA budget.

Love that tailgate Stav! Are those little locks I see, so you can just lift it out and put wheels in, then fit it again?!

I've got a 'vert, so ANY weight saving will be good! Once I've got it all worked out, I'll probably pull the roof motors out too, then random bracketry, headlight washers of course, ABS if I have it, cruise control (cool as it is!).... the list goes on! One high specced rusty 'vert to a stripped light not-so-rusty 'vert.

Yeah, Deuz fasteners hold it in, which is useful TBH, though the cars not exactly good for carring wheels/tyres, can jus about fit 4, but means I cant fit any fuel system in the boot, which is a pain in the arse :smash:

And yeah, them headlights was mental money, but I didnt fancy my chances/skills of doing a custom job, so thought the weight saving was woirth the initial outlay. Seen a few custom jobs on FCs and they never seem to work out well, so I didnt even attempt it myself.

From what ive seen, can make verts light too, fuck, you can even buy carbon boolids for verts!

stav where did u source the poly hatch form in the end? ive spoken to plastics for perf.. and they need to make a mold for it apparently.. so lookin to source it elsewhere unless i have no choice??

im also lookin at ditching the lights.. but i was gonna go the ghetto way and stick anything i could in there.. ive not found a conversion i like really.. i dont like the re:A ones with the plastic cover.. like the recessed style.. so ures look pretty bad ass..

look forward to see final product!

Trouble is, its not just the glass thats heavy, its the metal frame.
The standard frame alone with no glass weighs far more than this entire replacment hatch/window combo, so a plastic rear screen is only half the issue.
I got a guy who builds race cars to build me one in the USA, again, not cheap, shipping costs are crazy due to size, but was better than I could manage to sort here, so I bit the bullet.

I dont mind the RE:Am lights etc, but you have to have different bumpers etc for them, and couldnt afford that and didnt like the bumpers much, wanted some that kept stock bumpers, and only ones ever made that do that (barring custom ones beyond my skills) are the ones I've got.

Heres what my lights should look like once on. TBH regardless of looks, I jus wanted something from a weight saving point of view, the car looks ridiculous anyhow so pretty or not lights wasnt a big deal, lol.

Oh damn, thats gorgeous. ^^

Making me really want one again, need to stop looking at this thread. Ridiculously gorgeous and cheap to buy, totally impractical and expensive to run cars :(
