Maybe im getting old but I think it needs alot more safety, It is like old skool rallying but that was banned for a reason and only after it was too late. It only takes one mistake and we know its going to happen at some point and put many lives at risk.

Drift how they do up a touge is exciting enough, we dont need to have the added gut feeling its going to end with a disaster. I love that they have gone all out with the stages etc but the public need to be at a safe distance away or else it is just a matter of time before its banned like the group b's

I agree that it needs to be pointed out where not to stand for stupid people, and safe areas to spectate must be provided.
But then if you want to stand in a crazy place, it's up to you. I feel sorry for the drivers not the spectators.

If you look at those vids though, particulary in Tsuiso, either car could come through the barrier at any time really with the other one right behind it, short of the start line there isnt anywhere safe thats at road level.

If you watch the Portugal Group B crash the driver went into the crown on a fairly "safe" part of the track too ......... sad to say its only a matter of time before theres a big one here :(

No barrier at all tho, the polish ones have some hefty double layered armco and concrete wall for the fastest bits.

Agreed theres a good chance of a car going over it but not quite the same as no barrier at all.

Karpacz Touge is no more :( :( what a shame ... but this season we'll have two touge events.

Check out this vid to see the new track. The drift course will start once the driver reaches the hairpin going uphill.
