I'm seriously tempted by that last one!

Also Chris, I'll be up for doing the road trip to get it, that corsa would be ideal to go to pick them up! then bung the corsa on Ebay

Dont go there

I think thats near where I went to look at a range rover a few months back, the last 20 miles were single track roads

It took hours to find the place, and the guy was an inbred retard who hadn't seen the daylight coming through the rear arches into the boot :(

Apologies to anyone from that neck of the valley's, but that guy has put me off ever going back :(

oh, and you can easily find S14's for your money

i know someone who has a 944 s2, costly man. soon as you say porsche ppl's eyes light up.

it a bloody vw/audi @ the end of the day.

sorry if this has already been said, been off comp for bit.

Don't know if the gearbox being in the back of the 944 would be a problem at all? Shouldn't be
My mate had a non turbo one, but i thought it felt quite slow......

Great idea though mate  I'd probably go for a V8 928 myself, but the few manual ones are like rocking horse poo,

If I hold out with the diseasal for a couple of months I can easily put together 3k. This seems like the sensible path but what to do in the meantime? Not drift? Not even drive fast? I was making progress late at night recently, and felt like i was really pushing the little Corsa, felt like I was apexing the corners well, taking it to the limits of its grip. I looked at the speedo and I was taking roundabouts at a measly 45mph. That's just not satisfactory.

For god's sake man, just buy an S13 already! :smash: Nobody likes standard S13s, they're gay and pretty crap to drive, the reason they're good is there's so many parts available you can turn it into a decent drift car as you progress. They're popular for a reason dude

So, I bought a 944 a year ago, and it's been sitting in my drive way ever since, waiting on my to put an engine it. I wasn't really sure what I had planned for it until a few weeks ago, one of my friends decided to make it a drift build. After a bit of research, I've decided to have a go at it. We're gonna v8 swap it and go for about a 450bhp build and see if we can't get it all slippy slidy. It's definitely going to be a chore and a bit pricey, but in the end it'll come out a custom masterpiece

WOW! An internet cookie for you for bumping a thread by a whopping *drum roll*....
9 years and 5 months!

Good job!

944 are awesome cars, really cheap to maintain, parts are dirt cheap if you know where to look and the chassis is amazing...

They use a rod in the rear suspension, can't remember what it's called, but you'll want to drop in some coilovers and a delete kit

Solid engine mounts, poly brush it and happy days.

I had one N/A and was nippy and quick to steer, can't remember about angle, but you'll be modifying the hubs yourself if you want more angle cus I don't think you'll get a kit
