i hav to admit, this is a dog and needs so work before its first drift day

bad points first:
fuels lines are very rusty
overfueling
sills and chassis legs are damaged from some jacking it up badly
sat on cut springs

some good points:
uprated turbo (i think)
2-wat diff(i think) is there a way to test this??
FMIC
induction kit
boost gauge (just need to connect it)
overfeeders
the wheels with spacers :D

it needs alot of work bt i love that:D

just wanna know a few things

. is japspeed stuff any good??
. where is the closest practise drift days near bristol/bath area??

so just need to learn how to drift ;)

thank you

im doing my first drift day on 28th at the pod so gonna get the car ready for that

first relocate the wiring harness

this was so easy, wings come off really easily :D

drivers side- this would of worn throw

passenger side- this was even closer, glad i did this before i started drifting :)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

held it up with cable ties, but i dont trust the cable ties on own there so i made some brackets up, makes it look a lot tidier

next job is to weld up the diff, as the kid lied to me about it having a 2 way diff, its a standard open diff

this is my old car :)

i did all the work to it on a stupidly low budget but take my word for it, it looked 10x better after i did, started off with some really chav bodykit, but like i said i ddi the best i could with the money i was earning.

the drivers arch is smashed cus some flangey bollock of a so called mate of mine stole it one night and got 50yds before binning it into a curb, which im still after him for, but it basically ripped the wheel back into the arch, snapped the tension rod, bent wishbone and warped the leg, also made a dint in the bottom of the FMIC, i replaced all the parts like for like as couldnt afford any uprated things, the drivers front wheel had a very bad buckle in it which i paid to get repaired, but they are 2 piece splits.... sorry to disapoint you but a bit of history to it, however it wasnt recorded as stolen as it only went down the road from me and i was first on scene... embarrasing paying £50 to recover your car 50 yards -_-

the wiring in the arches was all tucked up when i had it so not sure what the welsh bloke did?

the bumper used to be red with a sticker bombed splitter.

i sold it with the toyo sports radiator fitted, a standard one spare, a spare t25 turbo, the s14a t28 turbo i bought cus it came with a cheap chinese t28, fmic, stage 2 chip, Mitch from Driftgarage set the ignition timing up for me but said that the timing belt MAY have skipped a tooth cus its all the way advanced and is meant to be at 15-19 degrees (may want to check that out)

i put the wings and the overfenders on, wheels and adapters.

i replaced the engine with a lower mileage 100k engine when mine started to knock (bought a whole car for pennies) and gave it new oil etc which ran sweet, i'll admit the gasket for the thermostat will need replacing though, it started to leak when i was on my way to swansea and i had nothing but rad-weld to put in it to seal it up, but was skinter than skint so had to make do, which i told the bloke about.

but on the brighter side of things, i wouldnt bother welding your diff up, it definately had an LSD cus i used to get it sideways everywhere, hard not to!

PS apologies for the terrible paint :( i didnt really care what it looked like as it was a trampdrifter to me :)

hope you enjoy and if it makes you feel any better the welsh bloke was a total ripoff merchant, i swapped that s13 for an s14a with a knocking bottom end (which i knew about) but with a LOT of rot, not rust, ROT. so much so that it actually made me break it cus it was unsalvagable to me... but now i roll around in this..

alright mate, dont worry ur old s13 is in good hands now, i love this car!!!

i know what its like building a budget car, i did to my eg civic

about the diff, i found out about a week ago it was lsd (bt its good to know its defo one), i must of not be trying hard lol

engines running sweet, put a timing belt on the other day, so the timings all good now

im not to worry about the paint job, looks good anyway, its a drift not a show car lol

but anyway watch this space cause its going to have loads done to it!!!!! :D

that looks awesomely ghetto, needs wheels though or at least the front dishes silver/polished again they look very 17" saxo styley to me being all black :P

nice build mate!

pictures on fitting and setting up those coilovers would be greatly appreciated as i have just brought a set myself and have no idea how to fit them lol

jack

Looks very nice does this bud :) I came very close to getting one of these before i got my mx, absolutely love the old school looks and proper jap drifter! The white and black just does it for me to, initial d stylie ;) Are you going to polish the front rim lips to match the rears?

Mike

cool car, good to see youve moved on from fwd.. good isnt it?

and yes, Japspeed do very good stuff... just dont use any of the gaskets they provide with exhaust parts, use genuine Nissan stuff.

Rob

good little project mate.

i've just got hold of some secondhand daiyama's for mine, yet to fit so i'll be interested to see what you think of them :)

will be following this, good stuff!!
