S13 daily drift slag

Yh love rwd now, dont think i could ever go bk to fwd, its just too much fun, and i ll keep that in mind about there gaskets, also i heard the ebay exhaust are the same as the japspeed one, is that true?

Yh i might polish the fronts up, bt not for a while, just gonna hav fun and learn to drift first lol, bt they defo need polishing up to match the rear, it will make it look 10 times better lol

:dw:

went to santa pod on wednesday for my first drift day

had so much fun, meet a few people of here which was cool, everyones really friendly and helpful

had a few problems
.power steering overheated, lost all the fuild twice, so in the end i had no power steering
.one coil pack broke, bt i had a pair
.on the way home, turbo gasket went, so shes off the road for a while

i learnt alot in that one day, i took it on the big track in the end, bt i span twice and had the slide motor sport team behind me, so i was a little scared and because of that i only did one lap, bt next time i go i want to do more

my friend, whos been drifting for years, took my car around the main track, and the car drifts a treat, understeers alittle, bt thats something i can work on

anyway, heres some pictures

how did you find the coilovers when you were at pod mate?

they were awesome, im really impressed with them, for £600 you can go wrong, yes hsd are better bt then there more expensive, u can feel the difference in the damping settings (like every 2-3 clicks)

i did hav abit of understeer, bt i think that was because of my driving :D

right

after pod, on the way home, the turbo gasket blow, which sucked:cry:

started taking everything off, and noticed
. lots of oil in the intercooler, so im guess the turbo seals are gone
. exhaust system has loads of pin holes and has seen better days

so my plan is to:
get a new exhaust system, inc manifold, elbow, downpipe and cat-cack
another t25 turbo, cant afford to get a t28 yet, bt it was so easy to get the turbo off so i ll probably do it in the future

ah good to hear! i've got a set ready to go on my car see, so glad to hear you rate them that's good to know.

keep up the good work mate, shame about the turbo!

Update

bad news :(

fitted the new-er turbo with nissan gaskets and brand new exhaust, fitted lovely it was all going well

then went to start it up and the ca decided it wanted to be a 3 cylinder,
did loads of test, compression test came back fine, checked coilpacks and used are new smoke machine to check for any leaks ect.

in the i found that cylinder 3 was the problem, and that i wasnt getting a signal to that injector, followed the wiring harness all the way to the ecu and there wasnt a break in the wire, so im guessing that the ecu has given up (the battery did get flat so that might of done it)

it has a stage 2 chip in it, bt im still running a t25 atm so i might go for a stage 1 ecu

will the 200 was in the workshop, did a few other things

.fitted my bucket seat and harness
.re-secured my inter-cooler
.fitted a heat shield around power steering reservoir
.fitted alloy steering bush, the old one was fuuuuuccckkkkkkeeeeddddddddd!!!

here is my s13 and a customers escort rs cosworth, both awesome cars, bt only one works

so :dw: with my car off the road it got me thinking, having a daily skidder thats a 20 year old nissan with a ca18 init isn t going to work

so i've decided to hav the 200 as a drift only car (bt road legal so i can drive it to practice days)
im gonna buy myself a cheap run about eg old school nissan micra :)

my target date to get it drift really is going to be march 2012, so i ve got time to save up

bt with xmas round the corner i want be doing much till after
so the s13 looking like this for a while, guess which one it is

:

im gonna welded diff with solid bushes and get it running again lol

i decided dont to make any more plans as i do this all the time (with my civic track cars, spend loads of money on awesome part, spent ages working on it, then only ever did 2 track days) well i dont want to do that again so the new plan is just to drift it and hav fun, not give crap want it looks like, only how much fun it is

so new plan is:
get Xmas out the way, get drunk
then maybe weld up the diff before the next drift day

then fix whatever breaks ha

its all about hav fun at the end of the day
i ll keep u posted :D

car looks cool man! shame about the running issue, ca's seem to be a bit of a pain.... but at least it didnt blow up after 3 days like mine!! lol

hiya mate, me again (previous previous owner) the misfiring could be down to the injector controller box (dont know the technical name for it) basically its a little box found just under the pic above, if memory serves me right you can just see the edge of it inn the pic, i had the same issue when i owned it and replaced it for another one, but it could be that thats gone down again.. worth checking.. hope it helps :)

the dropping resistor?

Hi mate you need to get a fan cowling on the car before you take it to any more drift days or you will cook your engine.

You would not believe how much they actually work.
