was the spec R the only turbocharged model? I'm after the BB 15 turbo, and I thought I'd found one, but the guy says the S15 the engine etc was out of was a spec S, but it does have a turbo .. can anyone enlighten me as to the specifications of the S model turbo? also are the injectors 480 like the spec R? :)

ta

I was under the impression that the only differance between and S and an R was the Aero package.. I could be wrong tho..

I'm pretty sure both S and R have turbos, I thought it was:

Spec-S: Airbag, ABS, Helical LSD (Manual, Viscous on Auto) are standard

Spec-R: Add Sunroof, side skirts and rear-spoiler.

Got it from 200sx.org

Hope it helps mate

Spec S doesnt come with a boost gauge, Spec R does. Make what you will of that.

Might be worth a viusit to the S15 section of sxoc.com. I think youve heard of it Phil?:D

Steve C200, they might not have a boost gauge there but apparently they do have an oil pressure gauge there...

so at a glance it isn't a good comparison.

The spec S is all show no go the spec R came as aero and non aero, I have a non aero.

The spec R is both show and go !!

Mine is for sale @£12.5 k ono so come on boys get driftin in a 15 !!

/Steve

now where's the "shameless plug" smiley when you need it!

some n/a cars come with oil pressure gauges though.

it does sound like the S is a non turbo model,

the had non turbo s13's and s14's in japan didn't they?

Hi Phil.

Is nearly 2.5mill yen cheap then and can these be ESVA'd?

Glen

hehe, unfortunatly I haven't suddenly come into money :(, I'm after just the Turbo, not the car ;), but if you don't mind having a look for the turbo for me that'd be great :) AFAIK they can be had from the U.S. for £450 all in brand new :)..

P.S. earliest S15 is 96 I think, so theres a fair way to go untill they can be ESVA'd, which is a shame..

the Maccy D is correct, "it means As Far As I Know" ;).. and I thought you where down with the Geek Speak :D

yeah I'm after an OEM turbo from a Silvia S15 Spec R, it's basically a ball bearing T-28, capable of a bit more power than the S15 turbo, it's very similar to the HKS GT-SS Turbo..
