Will do proper pictures as I continue the rest of the build.

List to do at the moment:

1) Fit old dash into car to get cage measurements.
2) Take old dash measurements and make new dash fit car :D
3) Sort out electrics. Aircon not working, ecu wiring shoddy, speedo/rev counter not working.
4) Fit plumbed in fire extinguisher.
5) Fit AFR guage into door card.
6) Fit front driftworks towing bar.
7) Fit dash with all wiring sorted.
8) Refit all plastics removed from car before cage fitted.

hoorah its in!!!

Yes. There is a long line of people i'd like to thank.

Brad for fitting my bolt in cage. £350

Fabricage for providing a powdercoated cage at a bargain price of £505 picked up.

Gary200's mate for taking my car, charging me £175 deposit, doing nothing, then disappearing forever.

Hellaflush. For buying my old half cage, and putting the money in the wrong account. LOL

All in all. This cage stuff, including buying the roll cage padding had come to £1400+ pounds.

Remember this folks. When you first decide to put an FIA approved cage in your vehicle. DO NOT GO THE CHEAP OPTION. and NEVER involve your friends.

350 quid to fit a bolt in cage, or did I miss something there??

Anyway, glad to see it's coming on nicely Mister Sam

£350 to fit a bolt in? whats the story there?

sounds like youve over spent big time!

i just got an apex half cage, bdc spec for £130. take me all of twenty minutes to drill about ten holes and do up some bolts.

ok so gotta get the front section made up, but itll be a couple of hundred tops.

next time mate, christ bring it down here, sure me and norfy would get it sorted for the price of a few pints

He did some of the sound deadening, painted some of the floor and got the blocks for the two front feet welded in.

To fit my fabricage bolt in cage, and do those other bits, it took him and a few friends more than 7 hours. So that is an absolute bargain price. It's mates rates too. I can't recommend him enough.

Fair one. You couldn't pay me enough to remove sound deadening. Well you could, but you know what I mean. As long as it's a sound job and you're happy, that's the main thing, as it's not a job you should have to do again
