Probably gonna get slated for this but I don't care:

Academic anyway as we're not allowed to run backwards anymore, but it does fit!

And yes I know this was done to death on Mitto's thread last year but I don't think anyone did an actual photoshop to see if it fits?

IIRC the track used for Supra Pod wasn't too different, Just with a tighter corner by the garages due to needing the drag strip return lane. I really enjoyed it and thought it worked well.

If the shape of the big track at Pod was voted on Driftworks using a democratic system, then a thread to show different designs gauging people's opinions would be a cracking idea.

However, the two parties you need to need to convince are Lex and Santa Pod.

Ian. :)

All I'm interested in is a decent run up for some sweet entries!

I had a read through the thread for the Pod spastic entry day that Paz suggested and Lex said he wanted to do it again but nothing ever surfaced?

this would be awesome i reckon definately need a fast entry corner. plus it means the killer bump is on a less faster part of track:)

We can't all be blessed with silky smooth racetracks and I think focusing on the bumps is only going to annoy the organisers on what is a reliable, safe and cheap place to drift. I'm not saying that they don't effect the drifting there but they certainly don't stop you drifting

If a track like this is wanted at pod then I'm sure some positive comments and working with pod to do so would help, rather then the last thread which became a bit of a slag fest

Yeah that'd be awesome but personally i'd just be grateful that we can still use pod for drift days at all.

Agreed, love Pod and it would suck donkey balls if we couldn't drift there, but that track would be full on awesomeness if it happened!!!

Just needs a few strategically placed bails I reckon!

I have no problem testing new layouts as long as they are done with safety in mind

What i suggest is that in the lunch break at the next DWYB those who want a different layout spend the 30 min break rearranging the cones to suit what they want

Then everyone can test it after lunch

If everyone loves it super duper an afternoon of having fun on a different layout - if not everyone can help get it set up to the usual EDC based layout

How does that sound ?

That sounds like about the best use of that half hour break ever conceived, however, it might be an idea to have a few "sample" layouts that might looks like a good idea to hand so that in the morning briefing it can be explained and people can volunteer to change the track to A, B or C over that break.

Its hard enough navigating the track with the cones when you know whats supposed to be happening sometimes, if you sent a load of bods out over lunch to arrange a track from their heads then nobody will have a fucking clue.

When making the above image did you make sure you used the same scale for both images... when I do it the track don't fit without shrinking it right down...

I was a bit surprised when it looked like it'd fit, as it was showing as only as wide as 1 lane of the drag strip, and much smaller than it looks in pics/vids too.

Its a small track, but Rubix Cubes one looks closer to the mark to me?
