Santa Meihan

As I said, its crude but matching the scales shows its tight. You'd have to shrink it down, or cut some corners out to make it fit.

Would be pretty EPIC!!! I'm curious to know if it fits anywhere else in the UK....

Our local one has stack of trollies right where you'd initiate on the main straight, and some Kosovans washing cars on the 2nd corner.

Dont think the scale really matters

Drivers want to try a different layout based to a mehain concept to see it it will be fun

Will explain in the briefing what we are trying to achieve and it would be great if people come at help at the lunch break

Meihan is all about 2 corners anyway, the left onto the main straight and the decreasing radius right hander after the main straight... So just include those :)

If there was even just some kind of painted lines or proper anything id come to pod more - i really like driving there and stuff - as discussed in the "mega long mitto thread" if there something like the above just painted out with the clips kerbs as cones or something it be good, The problem i always find with pod is the cones get nugged moves people start going in about 10 different lines and stuff. the best times ive had at pod have been stupid small tracks like supra pod (previous years) where there has basically only been room for 1 line!

edit - also if it could miss the huge subframe eating dip ideal.

Yes, I get cone blindness. I follow the tyre marks on the ground. Which causes a massive problem when the layout is changed as the tyre marks follow the old one.

Painted lines would be amazing, but tis understandable why they cant due to it being used for other stuff too.

When making the above image did you make sure you used the same scale for both images... when I do it the track don't fit without shrinking it right down...

Yep it's to scale, just matching the scales in maps doesn't work as although it gives you 20m markers they're different distances apart, therefore you have to resize the images in photoshop to match the scales exactly by hand.

I ended up with a similar image to you originally but realised my mistake when I did the same with the oval at wheels and it was bigger than the whole of Pod lol! Meihan is pretty narrow / hardcore!

I did cut out the far left corner and used the inner loop instead but as Paz says its about the left hander -> straight and firing into the right hander!

I think if this layout was implemented it would require concrete blocks to separate it from the kidney, but that would sort the clip out nicely :D

If I can make the 19th I'm more than happy to help with laying it out.

Just do away with the kidney or re-position it in the doughnut pen area (replacing the doughnut pens) for one or two days a year.

Looking at these pics, Tony has a point, Meihan main straight is only about as wide as one lane of the pod strip, just like how he did it

can imagine pod having a pretty lucrative trailoring home business if they put a wall in like that. Rather large numbers of early finishers too.

fyi, lex, at the last pod day it rained something savage in the afternoon so we jiggled the track around to avoid the giant puddles this made the track alot narrower in places.some of the drivers commented it was better as you had to be on the correct line and not just randomly drifting around.

the new proposed track would have to be ran the way we are not allowed to run the edc track.

i guess we could run a track all the way around the outside of the allocated area and try to put straight in.

I'm sure I've missed something but what's the reason for not being allowed to run the EDC track clockwise any more? Is it because of where the end of the concrete protecting the buildings sits?
