SARD Soarer

Full accuair elevel with CVT45 endo tank in black and black controller.

I will take pictures of the whole set up once I take it all out of the box’s but until it’s ready to be installed I’m not going to bother removing it all from its packaging.

Still making progress on the car but all bits that aren't really worth the pictures like removing more parts from the donor car. Still waiting on more parts to arrive as yet and over the next 2 weeks I should be making a start on removing the engine

Update :

I’m still cleaning haha

All the old factory air ride is now removed, the fuel tank i have removed to clean ( 12 year old stale fuel ) the wheels have been sent off to be refurbished as I’m going to be using them, the front bumper has been removed and is being sent off to be repaired properly as it’s split in places and it’s fibre glass ( getting a laminator to do proper repairs ) and the engine is still in the bay but now need to start getting the new air ride set up fitted to the car once Iv replaced a few bushes as it’s all in bits and the car needs it.

I’ve had a slight change of mind with this, I’ve got a vertex steering wheel on its way aswell as a bride vertex bucket seat. I’m in the process of sorting out an R154 gear box ( if you have a decent one for sale message me ) as I wanna make this thing a manual and eventually supercharge it.

This will be going in once the engine is out

R154 JZX100 gear box
I have the clutch and brake pedal from a manual soarer I just need to source a clutch / fly wheel and adaptor plate.

Air ride is fitted and fully working other than having the E level fitted which I will do once the car is back home. The fuel tank got flushed / painted and refitted. The manual pedals have been fitted. The engine has been removed and stripped down completely ready for a rebuild. The rear subframe has been removed / powder coated and polly bushed. The anti roll bars have been removed / powder coated and polly bushed. The arches / wheel houses have all been cleaned aswell as the underside and has had a fresh coat of black stone guard. I’m now in the process of removing the hubs to replace the wheel bearings and to be powder coated and built back up. I have removed the brakes from the front and got a rebuild kit for my ls400 callipers which will be getting painted and rebuilt this coming week. I have japspeed front and rear upper control arms on the way and all new bushes for the remaining control arms. The exhaust has been removed which will have to go back on the car for it’s MOT but this will be getting replaced once I can get the car to someone who can make me one on the car but in the mean time I will be doing what I can with my original to tidy it up a bit and to give me a bit more noise. I managed to source a sard cold air feed cone filter and also a sard ecu which has been mapped for a manual soarer which is a result. The ecu has also had the air con mapped out of it so this has been removed from the engine which will give me a few more hp’s and living in the Uk air con isn’t essential anyway.

Pics to follow

Looking good. The state of the engine made me laugh out loud.

I wasn’t at all surprised to find this. A mouse had been living there for some time as the V in the block was completely full of straw / snails etc and it had chewed through the body of the starter motor but luckily nothing else. So hopefully that’s it with the mice nests in this car. 2 mice and 2 ants nests in total and a shit tonne of snails.

LS400 brake callipers refurbished, got these built up this morning. I’m not sure if I like the colour or not so gunna hold off doing anything to them and try them on and see what they look like against the colour of the car and wheels.

Rear subframe now fully fitted, anti roll bar fitted, rear diff fitted, front hubs stripped, arches cleaned and painted using a black stone chip protection, front upper and rear upper control arms fitted ( japspeed control arms )

All 4 hubs have been sent off to have new wheel bearings fitted and I now have to paint the remaining rear control arms and fit new bushes then I can get this back on it’s wheels again.

Finished off the front brake / suspension set up I just need to paint the callipers on the rear and rebuild them to get them fitted.

I got my wheels back from refurbishment and got my tyres fitted.

I got my engine bay painted and have started to build it back up as well as getting my front wings repaired and painted.

I’m in the process of getting my doors painted and then il be onto the shell, quarter panels and roof.

I’m going to be changing my wheels eventually to some splits and il probably go with 19’s rather than these 18’s but I plan on parking this thing back in the same place I dug it out as all the bush has been now been cleared.

Looking ace! Great work.

Love my 19s. Everyone will tell you they drive worse. But mine are heavier than the 18s work which they replaced and it drives little to no different.

I put this down to the uni royal rainsport 3 tyres which people say have soft sidewalls. But for me that adds the comfort I needed with the big wheels. Hope that helps.

2 doors now in paint. Quarter panels and roof next. Then bumpers, tail gate and bonnet and this will be ready to be completely built back up.

Can’t wait to get this home where I can just sink some hours into it on weekends and evening in my garage it’s all good and well having a unit but nothing beats working on them at home
