Scottish Drift Noob

Hi mate I just bought a 330 for £900 e46 looking at starting drifting too. There is an event on this saturday at driftland too

You have to ask all the questions, buy a standard car as usually it's not been driven too hard.
Deals are about up here, there's an auto e36 on Gumtree in Penicuik for under 500. I've a box you can have that came off my 1.9.

Wow thats a nice offer mate not sure I have the know how on changing the box quickly though this will all be new to me apart from fitting odd things I have never done much more than fit anti roll bars, brakes or easy bits in the engine bay lol Have plenty tools and things like that though.

Probably hold out to try and get a manual first then work it from there.

Yeah im liking it it seems like a strong engine although dosent really stary pulling till about 3500-4000 onwards. Im looking at some coilovers and weld the diff and see how i go. Oh and try and reinforce the rear subframe as they are know to be a weak point. Do you have any mates or local guy you could use to help u change the box over?

Sweet man apart from a 1 series I drove for a few weeks im totaly new to BM's.

Going by the general advice you should see a good difference just doing those things just now.

Could do it in the garage man on a weekend - Old man would be there to give me a hand as he knows his stuff but its getting the time - WOuld rather just get a manual when it comes up.

Yeah I would just go with a manual when it comes up saves fucking about.

Was at driftland on Saturday seen some e46's drifting looked quite good he was also learning.

Deffo mate seems the best idea.

Nice was it a busy day? How did you get on in your 330?

I will be learning when I finally get a car and get out there.
