Not entirely true. The water seals and rotor tips are service items which is a 60,000 mile service. Just most people decide to have the rest rebuilt when it's apart as there isn't a lot more to do. The rotors and housings dont get changed unless there has been a tip failure and it's scorn the housings. Usually the rotors stay original.
There are a few that have done 90000miles and still going strong, one in the US that’s done over 100,000 miles. It just depends on how it's been looked after in the past.
