Have a look on the aluminum chassis plate, if the transmission is listed as W57/W58 or R154 it should be an easy swap, as these are the gearboxes that you'll want to be using with the 7M/JZ engine. If you need a hand with any stuff like wiring etc give me a shout Dec.

Transmission is listed as W58

So there are two engines that will go into this???? The 2.5TT & the 3.0TT?? or am I getting mixed up.

So its the 1JZ-GTE 280bhp OR THE 2Z-GTE 320bhp :worthy:

if you do want to part with the 1g engine, i know these fit into the Hilux without 2 much bother...and i have a Hilux, and nothings 2 much bother :)

im currently considering a chevy shortblock or Holden.

but id consider the 1g...seeing as i know a fair bit about em:thumbs:

I think the UK spec 2JZ-GTE has 320, the Jap spec one has less supposedly, but not that you'd notice ;)

You'll need a bellhousing, clutch and flywheel from an N/A JZA80 Supra,

If you find a 2JZ, make sure you get a manual ECU with it, as the auto ECU retards timing on kickdown, and might have 'blonde moments' if used without input from auto box/control unit

You can also fit A 7M-GTE, 234ps stock, 250 by the time you've got it in the car with no cat and a good filter and exhaust. considerably cheaper than a JZ, you can have a whole MK3 manual donor car for around 500 quid if you hunt around (don't do what I did tho, and find it a crying shame to tear a MK3 apart and put the donor car on the road too!)

Matt- about the hilux, DO IT!!!!!! :worthy:

:D, which the 1g or the v engines, im also considering the Lexus V8:wack:

which do you want declan, the 1jz or 2jz the 1jz are pretty hard to get hold off, but i think i could put you in touch with someone who can get front clips

as a note, my 2jz conversion was assisted by the purchase of a complete crashed supra for 2k, that then gave me everything needed:thumbs:
