Southwall Smokers, Lydden Hill 19th July 2014

Always wanted to go to lydden , only thing that puts me off is these 5 different groups , I've got to travel for over 3 hours to get there and I'm worried that I'm going to spend a massive amount of cash for very little seat time , I.e a tyre goes on your session , by the time you've got back and changed your session is over and you have to wait another 40 mins to get back on track, so I was wondering how people compare the day to somewhere such as teesside in terms of seat time ect ?.

Cheers

i was up there for my first drift day on a big track and I had a right blast just took my time and got a feel for the car.
I have to agree with stevecrc if you managed to get the tyres to the event then there is enough room to take them home again you can take 4 tyres at a time to the local tip a day I believe if you don't want to pay the tyre man to take them. and there are bins provided for bottles and rubbish. anyway moving on.
All in all though (except the doughnuts in the liner and s14) I found everyone in the novice group was paying attention to others around them and having a blast which is what its all about. I had a really good day and cant wait for the next one.
Thanks lydden hill and all the staff.

If you don't buy crap runners with just 2/3 mm you won't pop a set every time your out trust me! And even if you get 4 clear laps that's pritty good. Best advice I can give it just go for it, buy the ticket, plenty of tyres and just do it. You won't regret it

Great Day and Loads of Fun - RESPECT is all that's needed and happy that those being childish were told to leave.

Hope the Chap and his Girlfriend in the Black E34 V8 who had the shunt are recovering well. God Bless.

Will upload more vids shortly, but here's one were i inadvertantly became camera car for TFS Racing, good job mate and some nice lines

(I Will do better next time, needed to carry big speeds in order to slide so slower cars in front made it difficult to continue - So will be using different settings next time - 7hrs sleep in 48hrs is my excuse and im sticking with that lol)
