Stand at UKD1 Round 4?

James you gig Jessy!!!! WTF??? Why arent you driving? Mate, you are a way better driver than me and I had a go last time.
I hadnt driven sideways for two years, went to NW DD on the Wednesday and then D1 on the Saturday! Who gives a shit if you spin, ditch or fcuk it up - it YOU out there, not them in the crowd! It wasnt about the competition for me - just trying to get to grips with the high speeds that D1 dictates. To be honest, I dont think there's anywhere in the country at the moment that you can practice at the same speeds as D1....
Having said all this, both Steve and Kiki said to me that they wouldnt have entered D1 with just one drift practice day under "their" belt. I guess I must be a bit braver than I thought :)

Never let it be said I dont my making a fool of myself....:)

At the end of the day, if you screw up now, everybody knows youve only just got the car and youre not familiar with it - if you wait til next time maybe people will be expecting more cos you know the car more by then....

I just dont worry about what other people think....:thumbs:

Its not so much that I care what others think, as much as I dont fancy throwing such a nice car into the kitty litter (or worse something more solid) without even having the security of knowing what the cars gonna do. There is also a bit of not wanting to let people down, in the sense that its unreal how many emails, pm's and general interest this car is generating - far more than I would have thought - and I dont wanna mess up this vision of "drift perfection" everyone seems to think the car will do almost on its own!! lol

This is just a bit of muttering from me I guess, but I really am unsure if I should risk it in such a nice car, when I could take the easier route of a few practice sessions and then "go for it".......................but then, when did I ever do anything the easy way?? :D :D and besides, you just know that once Im there and smelling burnt rubber I will probably be up for anything !! lol

We'll see, I will be bringing someone who is big in the European import scene with me, who will need a pit pass and press pass so that pics and possibly interviews can be done.

PS Oh, if you could organise whatever is required for my Dutch Magazine friend to look round the cars in the pits, be able to take photos and maybe interview a few people (dont know if this is all OK anyways!!) , I would be very grateful. He is the one I told you about on the phone the other day.
