Police Scotland have got less to do and waste more time on road traffic offences ? Where as forces down here are fighting real crimes and don't have the funds anymore to waste on traffic / vehicle regs ?

Id say your probably pretty spot on tbh.
When I was down in Eastbourn for a wee while, I ended up being stopped a few times. Mainly as my car was registered in Aberdeenshire and I was on the south coast. One set accused me of something which was not the case, however that was all. I said to him, I was pulled over about a week prior by Scottish police because my number plate was too small.. The officer then followed this up the following day by arriving 3 up... outside my house, with a fucking postman pat ruler.. to measure, every bloody digit on my plate, ... infront of a street of pepole, all 3 of them eventually left with their tales between their legs, but the English officer replied with..
"We havent got time to be worrying about stupid stuff like that."

I've had pretty much all the above done in the past, and seen a fuck sight worse.
It's fuck all to do with location.

Highly debatable though isnt it. Considering I have just listed some personal examples explaining how geographically.. there is an obvious difference to what the police are doing with their spare/work time. There is FAR less people in Scotland.. by a mile stone.
What examples have you got of police acting in an unjust way towards you? Im curious to see how your experiences differ.. As I have next to NOTHING positive to say from any of them.
I also believe the entire force is corrupt. The chief constable is included within this, I have some nice letters from that man ¬__¬.

Mate there's plebty of coppers down here that'll go out of their way to be right arsey pricks about number plates, stretch, drifting etc etc. For some it's like their absolute favourite thing to do and they act like modified car owners are worse than the local kid toucher.
However there's also a load of decent coppers that really couldn't care less about mildly modified cars as they'd actually prefer to spend time protecting the general public against the bad guys.
Just luck of the draw, I've had motorway cops (renowned for being on the case when it comes to car stuff) give me a telling off for 3 laps of my local motorway junction sideways on camera whereas a friend had local bobbies come to his house in the night and arrest him for fraud cos he had German style plates on.
However there's also a load of decent coppers that really couldn't care less about mildly modified cars as they'd actually prefer to spend time protecting the general public against the bad guys.

Get over it, Police can be cunts if they want to be, same as anyone else, abuse of power.
Nothing that's happened to you is that bad, or rare, you're not Rodney King, you just got some dickhead coppers making your modified car life a pain in the cunt because they can.

I got 3 points and a £100 fine for my wheels spinning a tiny bit .... not even drifting , skiding , speeding or doing anything really other than an accidental wheel spin pulling onto a wet mini roundabout with a welder.... officer was total dick head

Haha ! Saying that i hit a patch of diesel on my Ninja 600 a few years back and wipped out smashed my arm open fingers hanging off etc... no cars were driving past so i was totally alone for a while until a cop car turned up and they looked and just kept on driving the cunts..... left me there until 2 bikers showed up and got me to hospital

I got fined 750quid (luckily no points, but that was due to bizzare charges that were non-endorsable) for, well, nothing really, copper didn't like me for long standing reasons and despite doing stuff like waiting for hours at the end of my road, pulling up outisde my house, etc etc, this was the first time he could easily stitch me up for anything in court.

I've had my fair share of being pulled over by the police up here, Edinburgh and driving the A96 late at night. Don't want to detail anything as its boring but all but two instances they were sound as fuck and I was just given warnings.
Most i've ever recieved is a section 59. even cops who have been exceedingly upset with me have just shouted, taken a few pictures and got on their way.
maybe your not arse licking enough. some people try to argue their way out of the situation. i find if you pull a really sad looking face and seem genuinly sorry for what you've done they'll let you go without anything.
