Finally i bought an AC welder and closed the GPL holes + the EGR, not the best welds of my life but for the first time welding cast aluminum not bad!

Still alive, slowing making progress, I'm still waiting for a new exhaust camshaft from the USA because unfindable here in Europe sadly.
Other than that the heads are ready to go back on the engine block, i have also shopped a new/used clutch more appropriate. About the heads/valves go check the before and after lol.

Managed to put back in the engine after finding a new camshaft in America, waiting for some lifters shims and some parts for the timing chain revision, then we're ready to plug the ECU and finally start the engine, I have also adapted the original exhausted headers and build a custom exhaust that go in the original central section of the car.

Engine is workings, running perfect as a clock.
Really happy about it!
Have to figure out some things on the electrical side ( interference with the fuel pump relay) other than that everything is ready for the first test ride (4wd at the moment) really hyped and relaxed that everything was good.

I have also decided to add an OLED diplay on the cluster to monitor all the data from the ECU in realtime

Installed also the GC8 exhaust and had to modify the original line, unfortunately was really loud and after inspection i find out that the insulation material inside the silencer was shit, so now i have ordered new insulation materials for re-pack it and make it sound better!

The steering pump was making noises so i have decided to buy a new pump and create a new oil reservoir, this time with a baffle.

I really love the process of creation.
This are just two of the 17 pages of data from the screen installed, i also have AFR real time graph data :) I have then decided to upgrade the dash illumination to LED.

So the car righ now is nealy done, the tune is quitely spot on and i just need a new windshield (i crashed mine during the swap... my bad) and then we can start drive it in AWD and see if there's any issues, after that (1000/1500km) we're going to start the RWD mods! I was wondering if it will be cool for all the users of this forum to see my adventures about this build in a youtube channel... please let me know if there still place for me in your youtube subscriptions :)
In the meantime i lost my job and i really want to put my future in the motorsport direction... youtube can be a nice place to live :) Thank you all!

Some update, new distribution bearings and spring, really shiny

New air filter for the OEM airbox, from the log i was not able to reach 100kpa so i guess was an air restriction feed, we will see.

Bought a second oil pressure sensor after the first one stopped working immediately, and insulatred a bit, now work perfecty and i can activate automatic cuts in the ECU in any low pressure oil situation.

Finally, I have found the car, the time, and the money (not so obvious) to start making something that someday can have sense and bring some more happy moments in my life.
The car is a Subaru Legacy (SW) from 1995, it has a serious oil leak in the engine which is a 2.0 116cv NA, nothing special but we're going to work on it, the fact is that I want in the beginning convert it in RWD keeping the stock transmission, and just swapping the engine with a more powerful one just makes no sense if I keep everything else stock, so for the moment, bring back to life the engine, clean/fix a minor issue like the shifter and the clutch, then welding the central and rear diff and removing of the front axles, I'm also thinking about something to do for have more steering angle but it still an idea, after that I hope in some easy skids in rainy day. Stay tuned guys, pictures will come soon, ah! all of this is DIY in my garage with basic tools, this is the second engine rebuild of my entire life.
I'm from Italy, best regards guys!

That is fix to my car, do you want to sell it? My car have problem ecu wiring and engine wiring. I am so glad when I receive your information. Thank you so much.
