Super Posh Oil Filter Relocation/Cooler Kits

could a mocal thermostat be plumbed into this afterwards, just for driving on the road the oil could get too cold i think?

yup, a Mocal thermostat could be plumbed in if you get the pipes chopped around a bit

do you really think the oil could get too cold just driving? surely not

in the winter if it's proper cold and you're not driving hard and just pottering around, it can be an issue if you don't have a thermostat fitted

what does the thermostat do? bypass the cooler?
yes, exactly that. It ensures that if the oil temp is less than 80 degrees C, it won't go through the cooler.
This means the engine oil will come up to temp faster and you don't risk overcooling it.

can you add that into the kit?
yup, we've specced it up so the oil lines that would normally go into the cooler go into the rear of the thermostat and you then run short lines from the front of the thermostat to the cooler.
These ones are dash 10 fittings which will fit these new cooler kits with filter relocation.

possibly a mistake there phil the kit is 235 and the thermostat and hoses are 90, 235+90=325 not 352 or 376.99 or am i missin something

Thermostat and aeroquip hoses are £141.99. The aeroquip hoses in -10 are so expensive to have made it's silly, but they do look really nice and are about a kilogram lighter  :D. We do have the cheaper ones coming, as I mentioned above :). Pretty sure my calculations are spot on, but the way the shop displays the options may have confused you a little (I will double check tomorrow when 10 beers have worn off :wack: )
