With regards to attending as a novice-
I attended my first ever drift day at this track a few months ago, it was the same format with both tracks opening to a full track at 4pm-6pm, ended up doing west track all day until full track, had loads of seat time I was only queueing for about 1-2 minutes before going back out again, full track was only slightly longer
I was in a Nissan 300zx NA remapped (supposedly 222bhp standard and does have great torque but big heavy-ass car), coilovers, lightened flywheel and Exedy clutch and exhaust on 16" tyres with about 40PSI but a busted steering rack and standard lock (which for a 300zx is shockingly bad). I managed to not only get it somewhat sideways but I linked the first corner after South Bank on my first attempt, was absolutely buzzing! Handbrake was standard (but z32 brakes are awesome anyway) button taped down with a roll of gaffa tape wedged under it when standing still
Unfortunately my engine died a few weeks later due to a failed oil pump and since it's off road having a TT engine rebuild, I'm bringing a silver completely standard engine Nissan 300zx - NA, coilovers and exhaust but again standard lock. I think I may struggle still due to the lock but it's still doable, I'll have t compensate by doing most of the track in 2nd gear and due to completely standard clutch will be magic wanding most of it too
In summary..whatever you have, come along, get your tyres/PSI right and be prepared to push the car if power is lacking. I'll be likely going out alone so passengers welcome on the day if you get a wristband and bring a helmet, just come speak to me Just bear in mind it won't exactly be a thrill ride, I'm still learning and the car is a back-up drift car at best hah
