Just started playing this. Not sure why people were complaining about the handling, its near identical to FM2!

The incar view is great - the first driving game that I've found the cockpit view useable.

Need to get some practice in the Porsche before publishing a drift score :D

I reckon the handling is quite alot nicer than forza 2.. Steering seems much smoother and more weighted. Love it.

:worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:Paz is in the Thread:worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:

Yeah, the Handling is 200% better than Forza 2, If you tap a wall, like in Forza 2, you just don't spin all over the place, making Wall taps alot more accessable  I love Forza 3, Infact i think ineed to go get that RSR Sideways :wack:

It feels nice and consistent which is what Shift is lacking. If you cock up a corner, it's because you got it wrong, not because the control system is all to cock. So just pumping in lap after lap to try and improve your time is really satisfying because it's intuitive in how it communicates the attitude of the car. I mean, it's preaching to the converted, of course. But all of teh Forza games and the GT games are like this. It's what makes them so good in my opinion.

Yeah, Couldn't agree more there buddy

The game actually requires skill to sit down and hit them leaderboards, You hit the wrong line, Mini Cooper meets wall, You hit too much power, Porsche RSR meets oversteer etc. I know what your saying, with this makes Forza my favourite Sim out there, yet i haven't played GT5 yet

GT - Monsieur Wonton
Drift - 19,306

Havent bothered with grip yet. Just playing with the Porsche trying to find my groove :D. Hopefully will be in the 20s tomorrow.

car list?

havent dowloaded it yet becuase my xbox is.... well dead tbh
but im getting an elite at the end of the month and am definatley buying the game
but does anyone know a car list for it yet?
i mean ive seen a r33 gtr and i wouldnt care if that was the only car on the game, but i was just wondering

Maaaan, getting used to the clutch button is TOUGH.

But it makes drifting 10x more rewarding - you can throw it in backwards alot easier and recover, just by dipping the clutch and then dropping it at the right time. Also clutch kicking really helps keep the power on in 3rd/4th in the Porsche.

Just did a drift score of 25,969 with all aids off and manual w/clutch.

I was hot lapping in the mini with manual + clutch but i was using my MS wheel, its so much easier to use the clutch with the wheel than faffing around trying to brake and clutch with one finger. Still takes abit of gettin used to thought but its not as bad

Yes it is, i started with the Clutch, you just gotta remember to open it up when handbraking otherwise major failure's occur :euge:

My score with clutch was 13k, But managed to get like 17k now i think haha, Still cant get that high, i need a Jap car, then it'll be higher :smash:

I've been really tempted to get a wheel for this. I've seen and read a lot about the Fanatec Porsche wheel, but its just too damn expensive. But it seems to be the only Xbox wheel to have 900 degrees rotation?

Anyone with the MS wheel, is it any good? How much rotation? Realistic at all?

I was grip driving with the clutch for a while and it was fine, but I felt like I was juggling too many things when I tried to drift. I'm just using normal MT with lots of handbrake for now. Seems to be working OK so far.
