the pretty common idle-drop problem sr20det

So, I've been searching around the net because my car has this problem, under pretty 5-6 months I've been looking into this and there's so much shit! so i was hoping we could create a guide or something.

The problem is that when you push the car then press the clutch and slow down it's dropping but it aint stalling. getting on my nerves.

I've been looking into everything, plugging the bov, alternator, battery, vacuumleaks, boost leaks, tps, iavc, i've even seen o2 sensor too close to the turbo (havnt tried it out) and a lot of other things but it seems like nothing is helping, so suggestions?

The afm to close to the turbo? Try fitting some flow straightening vains in the intake pipe.

Im still running the t28 with a apexi filter, fmic, stage 1 h-dev, 3 inch exhaust and so, i know a friend had to do it when getting stage 3 kit and a z32 maf but never heard anyone having to do it on stock shit?

Flutters on idle? what do you mean by that?

What exactly have you tried to fix it?
What work have you done on the car?

Mines doing the same.... will be taking engine out soon for rebuild!!! Dunno weather I should upgrade the pistons and rods.

The reason that i dont think it has to do with the engine itself is that other than the idle problems it runs great, the throttleresponse and so on is just fantastic..

i was gonna say check the iacv but looks like you already got that, sounds like the iacv though try adjusting it a little bit to see if you get a change at all, clean the TB and make sure it aint sticking or turn the adjusting screw on it like a quarter turn

I noticed that when ( hot engine ) on idle when the fans go on then off the idle dips, electric related shit.. Alternator? Grounds? Any suggestions?

sounds like your getting a pretty decent draw from your fans to dip the idle that bad, whats the amperage rating on your battery and have you checked out put on your alternator yet? how do you have your fans wired up? there is no where near enough information to help diagnose any sort of problem.

Sorry, original fans and wiring, battery to boot relocation, problem occured before relocation so thats not the problem but i did it so i could have a bigger battery. Havnt checked anything else relating to battery and alternator, tried 3 different batteries.. Im a total fuckhead when it comes to electric shit
