the purple and green fruit has arrived

Well I'm glad I have found you two I know who to avoid.

So just because it seems pointless or you don't like it makes it not worth while?

If you were being asked to fork out for it I would understand but your not. This is a build I have wanted to try for a while now, regardless of how pointless you feel it is. And whilst I clearly for have your support, there will be others intrigued to see how it works

Its kinda like drifting an MR2.. You can do it, but why go through all that expensive and hassle to basically have better results by starting properly?

I dont know much about turbo's however I do know Stav does. This twin ECU thing sounds fairly random to me and with the shit off the shelfs for high HP now adays it seems as iv you can do things far quicker, cheaper and better?

Either or, Purple and green are my favourite colours and my old blog was called mintofruit.. thats mainly what attracted me here.
Welcome along :)

p.s. Stick a 1.5 JZ in with a nice big single ;)

Lol 1uz is sitting waiting :)

I'm happy to take advice, there are things I want to do and like all other forums I won't be told I can't :) I would rather give it a go - although I won't be stupid if it isn't going to work in happy to accept that

Why can't you just listen to advice?

Basically, no tuner on the planet will tell you what you're claiming on here makes any sense at all.

It's like you've just plucked random words out of the internet and said you're going to do them.

Saying you're going to build a sequential turbo 1UZ with twin GT35s is one thing, as that's within the realms of possibility (just about, but will be the most complex and packed Supra engine bay ever), but you seem to have no idea how it works or why, and then the other things you mention which make zero sense in any way, and just sound like you're making it all up as you go along from words you've read on the internet.

As you not listening to a word I say, I'll let you get on with it, but I'm fairly certain none of us will ever see any of your ideas become reality. Mostly as any tuner will just laugh them off.

Stupid thing is, a twin turbo 1UZ is a GREAT idea and perfectly possible, if done right...

I have explained why, more than once on here. But here it all is again. What you have in mind either makes zero sense or is ridiculously complex and expensive for no gain.

2x ECUs = When one ECU can control everything you claim you want to do, 2 ECUs have no advantages in any way and LOTS of disadvantages.
ADVICE- Just run one.

2x Totally different types of ECU, one high end, one cheap shit = Makes no sense. That's like putting a set of Volk Racing wheels on one side of your car and a set of 7x17 Ripspeed wheels on the other.
ADVICE- Just run the Syvecs and nothing else.

Twin fuel rails on a 1UZ = Pointless when you can buy 2000cc+ injectors these days, even 8 1000cc injectors is good for way over 1000bhp. Only reason would be some kind of dual fuel over complex reason like Meth when on boost like I mentioned. And that's a very pointless when you only going for a max of 200bhp per litre.
ADVICE- Stick to a single rail and normal fuel.

2x GT35s on a 4ltr when you only want 600-800bhp = Making the car drive like crap by fitting 1200bhp worth of turbos for no valid reason. That's exactly like fitting a GT35 to a 2ltr looking for 300-400bhp, which is what nobody does as it will drive like crap for the level of power you after.
ADVICE- Fit a more suitable sized pair of turbos for the power you've after and it will be far faster.

'Mapping' the turbos to come in separately = Makes no sense, turbos don't work like that.
ADVICE- No, just no.

Sequential GT35 setup on a 1UZ = Sequential is a badass idea, but it's RIDICULOUSLY complex to make work properly (easier as compound, but then you can't use twin GT35s and it's still next to impossible to package on a V engine) on an inline engine, on a big V8 the entire setup would need to be mounted in front of the engine and have a rear mount rad, and probably no room for the exhaust and intercooler, or rear mounted and take up most the back of the car. And for only 600-800bhp just a pair of more suitable size turbos will be better performing and 10 times less complex.
ADVICE- Don't bother trying to package a sequential setup on a 1UZ in a Supra.

Would you be willing to suggest a set of turbos? 600-800 is a realistic figure but in te long I want to be able to get more out of these.

I want to be running between 1.0 bar and 1.4 bar of boost ideally

I will be using an ebc, don't mind forking out for this. In fact I'm going to start a new thread to gain ideas, I would appreciate your input from all this.

We talking stock internals here? Stock cams and stuff or?
Do they need to be compact enough to sit either side, or mounted at the front, or? What sort of £££ you on about spending?

A pair of GTX28s are tiny so will fit either side, should do 600odd at 1bar, and can be pushed to 800+ if need be, and will spool fast, but obv' fucking expensive.

GT2871s are another option for smaller ones, I'm not a big fan of them tbh, but they are compact at least, and can do the power you mean and spool well.

Pair of HY35s or GT30s are another option (I'd go HY35) which are bigger so might not fit as side low mounts, but would as higher mounts or front mounts, and still spool well. And are 1000bhp+ capable without the slower spool of the GT35, so you got room to grow. Powerband will still start higher with these though, and so I'd probably not without cams too as almost every single 1UZ on stock cams and turbos I've seen, even with massive turbos, doesn't make decent power beyond 6500rpm, so you'd likely have a fairly small rev range without cams.

Lots of other options via BorgWarner, Precision, etc etc, but it's all much of a muchness.
