So the score with the 32.
I feel, seeing as there are plenty of people who have followed this build from the start, that i owe you guys somewhat of an explanation.
The 32 was absolutely my dream car, still very much is, however it is absolutely obnoxious on the road, and parts are just stupidly expensive. Coupled that with the fact that dorifest cost me £3,000 to do, without breaking anything and the fact i now have a 15month old baby. I just can’t justify keeping something so serious, the car is everything i wanted it to be. However to make it more road friendly means raising it, taking the wheels off and putting something more sensible on and winding the power back a bit. And generally making it less lairy, at that point its not the car i want it to be. If I can’t have it the way it is, i dont want it at all.
So. That brings us to the reason its being broken, i put it up for sale whole, immediately thought about seeing my car being driven around by someone else, did quick maths, and realised it was worth far more in parts than i had it up for whole and i wont see some doughnut ruin my hard work, or take credit for it. Therefore it’s currently sat all torn apart, waiting for the engine and box to come out next week.
Onto the silver trombone, its a fun car, its a slower car than the 32, its a nicer place to be, its also far easier to get parts for, if i crash it i wont cry, if it throws a rod its £1,000 and a weekends work not a house deposit and a long walk off a short bridge.
That said, ive kept the ssr’s from the 32, ive also bought a set of 18x12 work rezaxx off a mate, and soon will have a kit on order. The 350 will be styled very similarly to the 32. Big splits, big kit, big dick wheels, just hopefully lower running costs and more usable on the road.
