The R32 Chronicles

I have read this entire forum during school in 3 days. This has been an awesome build. Thanks for entertaining me for the past 3 days.

Sadly boys and girls, all good things must come to an end, and this is no different. Its been a hell of a ride and i am so grateful to anyone that has taken the time to read my ramblings.

However, with that being said, unfortunately the car is currently up for breaking. If there is anything you have seen that you may be interested in feel free to contact me.

I regret to inform you the replacement has already been purchased.

questions is now its a dull 350. Do i do another build thread?

You’re keeping the forum alive. Fair play to ya. I’d happily read a 350z thread from you. Pity you can’t keep the 32 it’s class.

So the score with the 32.

I feel, seeing as there are plenty of people who have followed this build from the start, that i owe you guys somewhat of an explanation.

The 32 was absolutely my dream car, still very much is, however it is absolutely obnoxious on the road, and parts are just stupidly expensive. Coupled that with the fact that dorifest cost me £3,000 to do, without breaking anything and the fact i now have a 15month old baby. I just can’t justify keeping something so serious, the car is everything i wanted it to be. However to make it more road friendly means raising it, taking the wheels off and putting something more sensible on and winding the power back a bit. And generally making it less lairy, at that point its not the car i want it to be. If I can’t have it the way it is, i dont want it at all.

So. That brings us to the reason its being broken, i put it up for sale whole, immediately thought about seeing my car being driven around by someone else, did quick maths, and realised it was worth far more in parts than i had it up for whole and i wont see some doughnut ruin my hard work, or take credit for it. Therefore it’s currently sat all torn apart, waiting for the engine and box to come out next week.

Onto the silver trombone, its a fun car, its a slower car than the 32, its a nicer place to be, its also far easier to get parts for, if i crash it i wont cry, if it throws a rod its £1,000 and a weekends work not a house deposit and a long walk off a short bridge.

That said, ive kept the ssr’s from the 32, ive also bought a set of 18x12 work rezaxx off a mate, and soon will have a kit on order. The 350 will be styled very similarly to the 32. Big splits, big kit, big dick wheels, just hopefully lower running costs and more usable on the road.

Sad to see the 32 go, you really did a lot of proper good work.
On the positive side, more opportunitites for projectwork, and another well written thread. Really did enjoy following along here. Godspeed.

End of an era. Yesterday the car left with its new owner.

Jordan is a top man and has great plans for the car. Its going to be continued to be loved and more importantly continue to be used and enjoyed. I am looking forward to seeing him build it.

This brings this thread to a close on my end, i have throughly enjoyed writing it and am so grateful to anyone who has taken the time to follow the build and read my ramblings. As for the furture. I have my 350z. Lots of parts have been ordered and if i think its interesting enough and people want to read it maybe you will see a thread on here soon.
