TurboToffi - Low budget drifter/have-fun Lada 1200L

i had Lada/Vaz 2101, they are pretty cars, and even now, when i got my RS13 I'm still relly love them :D Great job, and good luck with the project!

Thanks for the comments!
As a little update I can tell you that I´ve made a new handbrakelever to make it easier to enter the corners usin the handbrake. The lever is now very close to the steering wheel. When I was done with that I noticed that the gearshift lever came too close to the handbrake...
No problem.... I´ll make a new gearlever too
So I built a 100% custom made gearlever with reverse gear lock using bike parts :p

Enough for this time...

Hi neighbour! Have you got anymore pictures? About the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, a closer pic of the gear lever system and other custom stuff. It's very interesting cause we have a 2105 sitting behind the garage. Basically your engine is totally stock? No forged pistons or connecting rods? How much hp/tq do You think the stock rods are capable of? To make a Lada turn better you have to move the lower wishbones 2 - 3 cm to the front. Thats what the rally drivers are doing (If I remember correctly).
Maybe you have a longer thread somewhere? Give us a link:)

wicked car dude, nice to see someone stepping away from the norm and having some balls to do it outside the box!

Hi!
Thanks for the comments! I don´t have any good pics of the manifolds. I haven´t remembered to take any photos when I´ve had it removed.

The engine has stock rods, pistons, head gasket..... There is no hp/tq limit on any enginepart. When the max cylinderpressure goes too high it kills anything. You´ll see what happens first :). I have changed 12 pistons and 2 or 3 head gaskets until I had the problems sorted out
The cylinderpressure depends on compression ratio, camshafts, boostpressure, temperature, spark angle...
I´ve been running 1,4bar of boost now for about seven months without problems since I dynoed the car.
It gave 200,4hp/225Nm @ 1,2 bar in the dyno at Suntech Motorsport.

The lower wishbones are moved a bit forward to increase caster angle to help the steering wheel turn back easier. This made the steering a bit more heavy
I have also modified the steering arms since I updated about the chassi here. This made the steering a bit quicker and even more HEAVY, but didn´t make the wheels turn any more, because the wishbones touch the tie rods.
Moving the wishbones forward will only make the inner wheel turn more. The other one will turn less...

from Peru

HEllo TurboToffi im writing you from the land of the Incas ,Peru .i saw your car and is pretty amazing . im trying to do something like that but i still have a lot of work to do. The point is that i want to buy some forged pistons . I cant find any here specifically for Lada. then im gonna try with pistons from japanese cars. what kind of piston are you using now, stock pistons? or forged pistons. could you tell me in any case what is the brand you are using or if you are using forged from what car did you take it?.
thanks man , and again amazing job
