WANTED: S13 non-LSD half shaft

state of the art, future of diffs.....

(S13 welded)
should give me quicker gearing if i understand it right and help the rears lock

off topic, but have had a wicked day of giving the car more steering lock, moving the whiteline bushes to proper drift position rather than all round performance, adjusting toe on rear to full negative, picking up a pair of 17x9 rear drifty rims for £20 :D , having the brake discs skimmed and sanding down the pads to get them to bed in properly so that i get some proper braking for the first time in 6 months

oh, that's it :D

Sorry Si, this isn't helping much but i am about to do the same thing. I wasn't aware that you needed new half shafts to swap the diff. Infact i'm not quite sure where the half shaft is??? care to explain to me what you mean?

I'm guessing Si means the short axle/flange that goes into the side of the diff, rather than the actual shaft? Sorry chaps but I'm all out of those for open diffs so I can't help :wack:

yep, what he said ^^^^^

i need these as the S14 ones seem to be 1mm bigger??
i am gonna use the S13 casing too, to give me quicker gearing
even if i used the S14 casing, i would need the shaft bits as it uses 2 short one's, rather than one short and one long one

did that...

angle ginded it at 10pm last night in my house (my neighbours HATE me!! )

is at the right length, but now won't go in at all!!!

Have you ground a nice chamfer on the end and kept the splines all nice and clean?

:smash: i had to put subtitiles on the tv so i could hear it :wack:

The mental image of si griding with huge sparks flying around the house whilst Vic has the TV turned up full blast and the subtitles on is too much.... meanwhile the kinds have all burnt themselves because the though showering in sparks was cool....

:D

Mitch 'delboy' C :smash:

Shame you didn't get the brains too  :D

I'll be needing the braincell today, so you'd best take the day off.

BTW-When I cut down my output shaft, I used a metalsmith's bench power saw, not an angle grinder.....

If you still need any s13 parts give me a shout, just bought one and had delivered, stripping it for spares for mine Mine is a J plate, the other is a K-reg
