Adjustable Lower Arms

We currently have good stocks, but it appears that we have underpriced them by loads :wack: and people seem to be snapping them up, so don't hold me to that.

Right, I may be completely daft here but bare with me.

The front control arms. I've offered one up to the front right corner only to find that the D2 Adjustable tension rod threaded studs do not fit. Do I need those new types that don't have studs but have holes instead?!

Not daft mate :) You can bash the studs out of your existing tension rods, or buy our nice posh carbon/alloy tension rods that use bolts instead of studs :)

Unfortunately you cleaned my bank account out yesterday, well you and a few other places.

So I guess I'll get my dad to take the tension rods to work with him tomorrow and have the studs pressed out :D

Have a look at the carbon bojanglies that are in the shop:

See how they don't have two studs in the control arm end, they instead have a pair of nuts and bolts.

I've got D2 tension arms that have studs rather than a nut and bolt and the studs don't have the same thread as the steel lugs on the control arms. So knocking the studs out of the tension arms seems to be the only option without having to buy new arms.

ok i can use the teins, need to get the studs pressed out (beaten with a big hammer)

a quick question... the washer that comes with the kit... where does that go? im not thinking that it should be between the hub and the lower arm... is this right?

That's where you can adjust your roll centres ;) I'll be getting a set of spacers made up now so that I can get the roll centre back to where I want it (or as close as possible) since the car will be lower.

A quick hit with a hammer sorted the studs on the D2's out for me matey:

anyone whose fitting these, please look at sideways taffs project thread, it makes fitting them a lot easier :) :)

Hello,

i'm having an eye on those and i' asking myself how much more width you can realise with these two items and your other adjustable arms ? I already read that you stated that 20mm per side are possible.

I think the front Sway Bar will be the limiting factor and have to be an adjustable one or the mounting plate for the sway bar will have to be rewelded further back, near the car if you try moving outwards too much.

I'm looking forward for a reply.
