Anyone drifted a TVR yet?

very nice cerbera!!!

my mates dad used to have a golden coloured one that kept failing but when it went, boy it went! when it slid, damnnnnnnnn!

the worst problem for peter was..... tyres blew every day and i think its like £200, £300 for tyres for them:P or atleast thats how much his cost...

overall though - AMAZING cars!

having owned a CERBERA they are too fragile to drift the clutch would last 5mins at best
best advice don't do it it will keep breaking

A TVR in drifting. . . .oh god that would be the most gorgeous bit of drifting ever, even if it span on the first corner lol!

But thinking about it, the new tuscans have that pants straight 6 in them with the funny valves or something, and they are basicly pants and break and cost loads of money to fix.

Old TVR's handle like shit box's :( and just try to kill you and your family, like a rabid dog! The sagaris on the other hand, handles very fricking well according to all the reviews, so get one of them and mod the stoppers on the steering rack, sorted pmsl!

Any car that breaks down a lot, now matter how nice the noise or how fast or how gorgeous to look at, is shite

And TVR's are shite, unless you completely re-do them and change everything...kind of pointless and expensive then. you might as well try drifting something totally unsuitable, like a jeep cherokee :smash:

The one I know of exploded into a mass of GRP shards and catapulted the driver into the sun.

Well, maybe not the second bit but definitely the first.

Funny enough one of the guys I know that had one is only alive because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. He ended up sat on the embankment and the car ended up being cleaned up with a dustpan and brush. 2 cars, that if without rollcage I will never belt up in: TVR and Corvette.

Umm, I think you need to take a step back and take a good hard look at drifting!!! Ever owned a standard second hand S13? then gone and had a look at what is done to it to use it in competetive drifting? :smash: :D

Perhaps we should sack all the modding off and just use cars that are totally standard and utterly reliable. Yay! S2K's all round!

Hiya, thanks for the comments on the cerbera, to the dwyb guy offering me a crash course on a bit of drifting in it - seriously, I'd be up for that. ill check out your website for dates/times. Do I need to find myself some garish graphics for the side of the car before I start ? :)

Next one is this sat

then last one this yr is weds 10th ;)

Its rumored that garish graphics can to give bhp, extra drift angle and increase smokeyness :wack:

If you could buy one for £2000, it'd be worth it.

Strip it out totally, thicker diff oil to help it lock better, minimal electronics, remove lock-stops/add spacers to rack to get more lock, heavier duty clutch and you're done! (and cut ze springs, ja!)

Thats like saying "If you could buy a Ferrari F40 for 50quid and chop the springs and weld the diff it would be worth it"

Ie it wont happen as its a retarded thing to say

TVR's seem to break down if you look at them too harshly :smash: which is why i say they are rubbish and what is the point of buying a 10k+ plus car and spending the same again on modding it...i'd feel better investing 10k in a 500 quid S13, at least i got a decent chance of being able to drive it more than 2 days in a row

Terry Grant has a few TVR's and from what i know hes never broke hes one
