Bon Bon bends fake Nardi wheel

Aahh mister ben, this is Chun-Li from steering wheel company in Szzzeeechhuan in China. I believe you find our velly well enjineared safety feature. If you have crash with jenyuin Nardi wheel, you gonna break arm and hand. My velly well enjineared wheel will fold under crash condition. I copy this feature from big manufacturer who make crumple zone into body shell. This feature it call Nardi Style Safety Crumple Zone wheel. It velly popular in Asia. Please correct video. You making me look stupid!
 
What about wheels that are designed to bend? Iirc some are supposed to. During Impact?

Although Maybe these are not Ment to be.. But still...

Any wheel will do that, there's a difference between major crash impact damage and me gently pulling on a wheel... lol

Look how much it bends when I just get in the car!!! I was genuinely shocked how easily it folded over!
 
If you had a crash with the fake, it would literally do nothing to slow you down and you'd end up faceplanting the dashboard.

Awesome vid though, made me laugh good. +1 for a Boncast! :D

it makes sense though,seeing as driftworks sell genuine nardi's:wack:

think about it,people will buy the fakes purely because they are cheaper,thinking they have a bargain and that driftworks is overpriced.

driftworks spent £70 and demonstrated why your better off buying genuine.its good move imo,both for dw and it's customers.
 
Real question but what about just general eBay steering wheels? I had a momo fake a couple years ago and it was fine, it bent when I had a crash but that was at 70 with me holding on for dear life! And by bent I meant only slightly.

Asking because I want a dished wheel but don't wanna pay much, literially branding means nothing to me as long as it's safe.

We can't comment for all steering wheels on ebay but personally speaking I'd avoid anything not by any of the big names like Nardi, Personal, Sparco, OMP etc. Don't forget we've got 25% off Nardi and Personal products for the rest of this month! :thumbs:
 
I bought one of these cheap eBay wheels for my truck and nearly ripped it off the first time I got in. I can't see how these can be sold as actualy steering wheels. Funny video tho, made me laugh :D
 
Yeah I know big James, just can't afford £150 odd quid for a wheel atm, was hoping there's a cheap brand that just does the job if you know what I mean.
 
looks like the fake is made of something like aluminium whereas the genuine is made of steel.

i've got a cheapo ebay wheel but it passes the ganster lean test, its not an imitation of a name brand though and is made from steel.

not that i'm saying cheap ebay wheels are ok as long as they are steel, as soon as i have the funds for a nardi i'll be buying one.

i'm totally gutted i blew loads of money on a stag do totally financially crippling me just before you announced the 25% off deal :(
 
buy whatever u like spend whatever u want to spend....i think that only is a promotion..
