Drifting in Hampshire

yeh although not a drifter more a passenger whore (untill juy =D ) nearest place we been drifting is wales lol. some of use dotted arund hampshire well winchester and rest of team fale near matchams. u WOULDN't want to skid anything thats not absollutly fubar round matchams, its a banger racing ring lol.

i know popley ex used to live there, u keep driftworks spec cars in blazingjoke for more then 2 hours lol thats an achivement!:smash:
 
haha. Last time I was in Hants, we all went out drifting.

I woke up in the morning with massive whiplash. (I wasn't driving lol)
 
Dont go to Matchams mid week "drift nights". I did when I lived down that way, and its just pikey's in scrap yards sierras and BM's smashing the shit out of each other. You take a car there you even half care about, its not gauranteed its coming home in one piece.
 
we used to skid matchems in our street cars? i used to use my s14a there?
the banger lads know what the score was
 
The banger boys will respect you if your a drifter.. I didn't know they smashed each other up on drift nights but I'm sure its only mates doing it to there other mates in there scrap cars.. If a few drifters get together and go down there as I believe it's 4 cars on the track per time you shouldn't be put on track with the careless types?.. From what I remember the track surface is not well maintained or kept clean!
 
this sounds like essex comps, the banger lads punt each other into the wall but leave the rest alone, its still risky using a road car though. i hit the essex wall at 40mph and shortened my front end by 8" the steel walls dont budge at all!!!!!

ask the organisers for road and wreck groups, essex almost went for that.

im in hampshire and travel to norfolk arena (this sat 17th), santa pod, and essex arena when ive got a shed to kill. keep an eye out for a drift day on the army camp at thorney island. other than that its skidding on the playstation FTW.
 
I've drifted mid week at matchams before, there was loads of sierra's and granada etc with abosolutely nothing except bare essentials and even they were held in with gaffer tape. there was me and two mates in drift cars and we were fine, few scary moments though as there were 8 on the oval at once.

Matchams is cool but the armco makes arena essex's equivelant look like an orphapedic pillow.

I'm From Alton in Hampshire about 10 miles south of aldershot and half hour drive from southampton.
There's decent drifters around here all within half hour of each other.
Leggy, Dragon force Joe, Shift Biscuits, SDR Aaron, SupraAsh, DannyNev (when anyone can get hold of him), Sx-si.
 
Oh and as Mr Ash said there is no Proper place to drift around Hampshire. Closest places are Pod DWYB days and the occasional Lydden hill days which i'm still yet to have a go at.

lol lucky mine aint anywhere near as good as driftworks spec car luckly lol but i'am paranoid sumones gonna just tow it off my drive lol dont think it was steves i got this one from hemel hamsted, tbh whoever own it before the last guy should be shot for doing the auto to manual swap as rubbish as he could :mad:
wow theres quite a few drifters from near me round here think we mite have to hook up for a little drift sesh when i get a gearbox

if its a code for being a menace and drifting on public roads then i can assure you i didn't intend to suggest such a thing i apologise if it got taken the wrong way i just ment a causal drive enjoyin driving in convoy with a handful of sweet jap cars.
 
Im from the Isle of Wight and am fed up of driving all the way too pod every time i want too do skids! Theres got to be another option thats closer?? I guess its just finding a legit area or someone with private land that would like to earn some revenue???
 
From basingstoke? small world theres a group of us from basingstoke that all drift. Unfortunatly we have been trying to for ages to get a local venue but so far we have had nothing!

we all drive bmws for m3s and a five series. let us know when your cars sorted and well sort out a drift day somewhere
 
I heard that there is talk about an open area in Godelming where we may be aloud to drift legally in afew months time.. I have only heard it threw a mate but I will do some research into it!
