Driftworks Hubs

Are they compatible with drum handbrakes now?
Not as standard, no.
Basically the place on the stock part where the mechanism pokes through is taken up as the hub has moved upwards.
We believe that it's possible they can be made to fit them by mounting the wheel hub on the other side, so it sits upside down and drilling the hole for the handbrake mechanism to poke through in the backplate of the knuckle underneath the hub rather than above it (if that makes sense?)
If that is the case and it just needs an additional hole, we'll build this functionality into version 2.

Great to hear that they're being produced in the UK. Too many companies just send the designs off to china and get them made with crap quality materials / manufacturing.

Was the c.£700 price tag for a set of 4?

yeah, we have a lot more UK manufactured stuff planned too. The quality will be amazing and it's something we can be really proud of too :)

And yes, that's for a set of 4

good news i was starting to think we would never hear about them again :)
well im after a set just trying to afford a new sbody
most likely only fronts though :)

thats for the updates guys

wow awesome you guys are bringing out some of the best drift parts in the world. i would gladly buy a set of these

btw any news on the kinked tension rods?

We haven't actually weighed them to see what difference there is, but they feel pretty much the same when you pick them up. There is no real weight saving to be had (well nothing noticeable at least)

Just a quick bit of news on these:

We've had the first trial set of this batch fitted to our S14 and we're very happy with the fit and the results so far :)

We're working with A-line so we're getting data of the alignment changes over the range of suspension movement analysed, so we can quantify what improvements are being made.

Mr Ant has helped us out with getting the necessary changes made to the design so that the S13 and R32 cable handbrake mechanisms are now catered for

Standard length track rods and ends aren't quite long enough to cope with the new position of the steering arm on the knuckle. On our S14, we've lengthened the rod ends by welding an extension on, but we're aware that some people won't want to modify like this, so we're investigating a custom replacement rod end at the moment.

that's the news so far, more from us soon, but it's fair to say that we're not far off now :)

saw the new uk produced hubs the other day on the driftworks s14.
They look strong and very nicely made:thumbs:
