steve,

a 2jzgte with a emanage blue..... is that a problem for you?

No problem...not at all...

had one in session 3 as it goes last year.. was a nice white supra with a GT42.(were you present when this was tuned? went really well) . Its a shame as it was limted really by the Emange and Factory ECU in that I had to cap it around 560-570hp (also his injectors werent big enough and there is minimal logging you can really do with such a piggy back system - full standalone is really the best way for total engine control)

He was gonna switch to a Haltech PS2000 but eventually through talks with his Mrs, lol, I think he then went on to sell the car

From my own experience I know Steve can handle the Emanage with ease.

Steve, I'm still leaning towards the Ostrich emulators and using the file I send you for Nistune.

Got the Greddy MSS in so that's a start!

No probs.. or seeing as you now have the Greddy MSS to control the exh and in cam switching/timing I can easily use a SR20DE ECU from a Primera or Almera ;) Its a case of just Plug n Play as your using the Greddy to control the switching and theirs no change really to the loom (minor in fact). Ill be doing one after Xmas for an Almera chap here who has the same engine as you fitted but Im running the Almera DE ECU and Loom and the GReddy MSS is doing the work to switch the in & exh cam where need be, I'll be posting the results to you so you can see :) (chap was supposed to turn up before Xmas but we've had really bad weather in the UK and the roads havent exactly been brilliant so its been postponed until the New Year along with a bunch of other stuff.

Otherwise, either way is not a problem. You have a couple of choices now

Thnx for the info. Thing is I have a VE loom fitted ;)
Plus with the self learn function of Nissan ECU's which could change the mapping over time AND already have a daughterboard I think i'm going the other route.

VE loom, not a problem.. as your using the Greddy MMS.. The looms between the DE's are all basically the same fella ;) bar the control of the cam switching, which is being dealt with independently by your Greddy MMS ;)

leave the wiring side of things to me. thats a piece of cake

ill give you call next week to chat in more detail (away on hols at the mo)

I got an offer from an official Ostrich dealer and I bought a pair for a really really good price to test them out.

I also downloaded TunerPro RT5 and loaded both the correct BIN and XDF file for the VE ECU. I saw all the right tables on the left so that might just work aswell.

I figured this gives everyone thats emailed and PMd me plenty of time to prep rather than rush for a February slot. Also one or two mechanically inexperienced folk can also choose book in with DP as well as liaise with me personally for any advice via phone/email .

Still trying to figure out what is causing my cars lean condition.
Dont want to end up having you working on broken parts. Doubt its a good idea to map my car when for example my fuelpump or FPR is at fault.

Looking into buying a set of 555cc, z32 and a PowerFC from someone for when ill get you to map it.

updated again !!
