Keeve's Lowstyle S13

Looking good, car seemed to take the hit like a champ. Must be all that added rigidity :P

How is the handbrake? Seems like grabbing that after the transition after the first corner would be ideal for setting up for that tight corner, and help scrub speed.

Aye mate it bent the rear 1/4 slightly and broke my kouki spat but apart from that was all good! Yeah handbrake is shit hot, I was using it for a bit but my mate was saying i should try not using it as for that layout i should be able to do it all without, and since never using it in the mx5 thought I could too, just mis-judged how much speed the car picks up compared to the wee mazda and binned it. The clip after from outside I used the handbrake to scrub speed.

Binned it again. Out to Driftlands pillow-soft gravel traps
Might even have the 3rd week of drifting in a row on Sunday.

Oh yeah and this was how I fixed the exhaust...

Think either the whole system is bent or he downpipe as its now scraping the centre section on errthang. Even after raising it in the pits to get back out. Got a replacement Japspeed one to bang on and if it still scrapes will get a new downpipe.

Stating the obvious here but have you got under and checked all the hangers are still there and in one piece

Got some more seat time, moving to London for 6 months so not sure how often I'll be able to get it down to Driftland so thought fuck it. Car went well apart from the exhaust falling off 30 miles into a 150 mile trip home.

Dickhead.

Managed to get through linking almost the whole track bar the straighten coming out of the bottom S bend.
I know the line is weak, was running wider lines as well.

Wheels are too small and tyres too big, gutted as I liked how they looked, looking to go for 17's and hope that stops my wheels from rubbing the front bumper and breaking the cable ties holding the lip on.

Yep, Certainly did. Basically when I smashed the grass mound the exhaust has been banana'd since. Got a replacement japspeed fitted last night and still scraping so fitting a new Downpipe this week to hopefully fix it!

Haven't really updated this cause I've been focusing more on seat time than anything else. Now living in London so the most amount of work i'm doing is fly home, do small tweaks, then drive it. So heres a dump of photos over the last 2-3 drift days in it.

Aye thats a fuel pouring out the filler cap... Chewed fuck outta my paint so its forcing me to lay new paint on it. Was just the cap sitting on wrong after some half asleep goon put it on, which left the car like this:

Bought overfenders to fix the flarey arches (which I've hated since i bought the car)... Ended up taking a hacksaw to them and pulling them in relatively straight. Sold the overfenders.

Going to get my pannel beater mate to get stuck in and then just filler over whats left, looks way better than what it did and the wheels will sit a lot better. - The Works/Zones/Whateverthefucktheyare have been pulled off as I'm doing a swap for some Gram lights. My new 17" skid wheels are copies of them too which is nice!

Looking a bit tired so looking forward to giving it a blow over.

Going to be home for a good bit over christmas, Planning to get the Gram Lites fitted. Increase Castor and start fucking with the alignment cause its so flat to drive just now. Get the Drivers arch loom relocated out the side instead of the wheel arch, get my exhaust re-welded higher so I can actually run it low instead of it dragging everywhere.

Good to see you're focussing on seat time rather than cocking about with a monster build [emoji41] looks like you're doing well

Nice build dude, I did the same with my arches, worked well, nice to see fibreglass is getting sold, over fenders are full of queef.

Yeah mate, I've always kinda focused on that since the mx5. I just don't see the point in throwing money at mods without spending time in the drivers seat. Bit pointless in my eyes.

Awesome stuff, good to see non handbrake entries too!

Cheers mate, yeah coming from the mx5 I've just wanted to drive it like I did the mx5. Albeit I've started using the handbrake in this to scrub speed but I doubt I'll ever use a handbrake on initiation, just seems a bit bland skidding the back end out instead of a flick to get it on drift.

Aye, never been a fan but thought it was my best option for fixing the rear arches. Glad I can go back relatively stock. Hate riveted on stuff personally and fibreglassing it smooth seemed a cunt of a job. They wouldn't really have suited the styling of the car either and I don't plan to change the pig/180 style thats going on with it.

Dunno if I'd call 5Zigen FN01s, copies

Fuck knows, Rays > 5Zigen so thats why I assumed they were copies. Hadn't seen em before.

Mine ended up alright, they looked like yours did, slit it, bashed it welded it, skimmed it. Shit picture but you get the idea.

Nice! Good to hear that its not gonna look like dick and gonna completely fail!

Aye so picked up the replacements for the splits. Sits a lot better than I had expected. Just need to get it lowered again and some smaller tyres.

Going to look into shorter springs for the Apexi coilovers as I have fuck all adjustment left on the front and I'm wanting to lower it a lot more.
