Minty.Fresh Boosted Altezza

Excellent build, wish I was on the same continent to meet up Lolz. Your PM box is full btw, clean that bad boy out

Perhaps its time for another brief update.

Much excitement at the moment. First drift day of the season coming up in less than 2 weeks time. So I began prepping the girl for some abuse. And by that I mean fitting the new lock setup.

Zero ackerman, 30mm RCA, 40mm extended LCA, extended track rods, extended rod ends

Which resulted in some mean lock

The downside is, I have to run an additional 20mm spacer to clear the tension rod. Which gives me rather wise-fab looking fitment which the BN arches arent able to cope with. Which I am also not a fan of....but oh well. Wider arches will be sourced soon, but for now i will fit my old bacon fender arches that I have zero care about being destroyed.

So now just need to get her aligned and oil changed, and shes good to go.

In other news, decided to try my luck with some carbon fiber. Made some radiator cooling panels which didnt turn out too bad.

Then I moved onto remaking the roof wing for the Altezza. I think if I can still maths, this will be version 3.

As she sits now, patiently waiting for abuse. Back still needs to come down by 10-20mm to match the front.

Hey mate, PM'd you yesterday, was just thinking, can I convert my mark 1 gs300 to is200 front end/hubs arms etc and utilize your kit you've used here?

I think thats a bit drastic to convert the front suspension. If really interested, I am sure I can source a set. Im sure something exists out there for your car. Is it a JZS147 or 161?

147, PM'd you back, you said you'd be bringing out a set but not sure when, I think I can use soarer or supra parts on mine too

Cheers Ewan ;)

Yea, the rear is same as supra/soarer. But the front is similar to the altezza, similar, but not the same. Ive found a place that does knuckles for the 147 & 161 chassis. If interested, drop me a PM and we can have a chat about it.

So, I think I have almost recovered after Sunday, which was a pretty fun day.

I decided to rock my oem wings for time being because the 40mm ones havent turned up yet. 9.5 et15 +20mm spacer fitment :wack: to clear on full lock on the new setup.

We got our shit ready and lined up to go. Was pretty nervous getting back out on track after 5 months of not driving.

Little warm up lap

And then jumped into it

Inevitably on the third lap I got a slight nudge in the back from Mint!

And effectively modified my exhaust a little

That was removed and we went back out

Some cool shots have emerged

Shame the fun came to a halt after the 2nd session when mints clutch refused to clutch. So he headed back into the pits to assess the damage. Which potentially is an issue with the pressure plate, which we failed to fix on the day.

So Mr D and I went back out and had some more fun.

I got too carried away and didnt leave enough room for D to transition and broke off my bumper

Which I ended up driving over the following lap

Which surprisingly remained in one piece. Nice end of day aero collection brought in from the track.

Small teaser for the incoming video

How did you go about lengthening your front lower control arms? Or did you source a pair from something else?
