Oh yeh. The front coilovers wont go lower.. just aswell I ordered up HSD's for it!

Then I got my girlfriend to polish the car as It hadnt been washed since August 2011. Even then, I only gave it a quick hose down at Ebisu to get the tyre marks off it.. so you can imagine, it took AGES to get the 'pearl' shine back.. even still it needs alot more work to get the shine back..

Tried to move it out my drive way but it scraped the shit out of the pavement. When the wheels/coils turn up im going to have to rip out all the plastic arch liners and find out what I can hit with a hammer to go lower.

Still waiting on DVLA paperwork before I can actually drive it ¬__¬ pain in the ass. Getting a clifford prox alarm fitted this week too to annoy some more people.

All very well and good at that height, but the upper arm will just mash into the top of the shock tower. That's basically your limiting factor with the stock geometry.

Also, those rear corner markers aren't stock. Get rid, they look hideous.

Really? Hmm how do I get around this without having to raise the car?
I'll be honest, I havent actually taken any time to look at this fully. I lowered the car, noticed the arch liners were rubbing and the arches and just left it, since I cant use it anyway and im getting the HSD's so figured Id sort problems out then.

I assume there must be a set of arms available to sort the above mentioned out?

Also yeah Iv looked at loads of cars and cant find them anwhere.. I also, cant get the things off! There is 2 screws holding them in and they just wont come off!!!

I changed the rear number plate bulbs this morning but it seems.. that housing for them has like blown up into loads of tiny bits of plastic, so I left it for now. Sort that out later.

Also was your Chaser a S1 or S2? Your front end looks a good bit different to mine, I have no idea whats what yet. I think mines a S1 with S2 tail lights.

Cheers mate. Will have another look. Although I had a check this morning and there a good bit of distance tbh.. although not compressed so will check when i get tyres for my wheels.. This morning thanks to Nelson (D R I F T) these showed up!

So I just HAD to test fit them

However.. Only 2 out of the 4 turned up.. Im still missing the 10" ones.. I asked the post lady and she said that they might turn up tomorrow!?.. Hmm I hope so!

Might need some spacers after its aligned and need to get tyres.. whats people's thoughts? I was considering getting 215/35/18 for the front and 225/35/18 for the rear?

That actually looks about the same rideheight in those last pics as mine was, which was ok for tower clearance. I only noticed a few small marks. Looks hot on those wheels!

Mine was a series 1. The differences are the front and rear bumpers (s2 is more angular), interior trim pattern (s1 is diagonal stripes, s2 is aztec), dash lightup colour (s1 white, s2 red), tail light design, steering wheel (s1 4 spoke, s2 3 spoke), front grill and I think thats about it.

Yours is also a series 1 (on the basis that its pointless effort to swap the interior trim differences), but it has been fitted with series 2 front bumper (with a Vertex/style lip), series 2 tail lights, series 2 grill and grande spec corner indicators. Although 98 was the changeover year I believe.

Ace! Thanks for all that info Andy! Yeah when you said white lights on the dash I knew then S1! I love those white lights though. Dash is pretty cool.

Just want to drive the damm thing!! When the DVLA finish with their stuff and I get my plates that should be me ok to drive it.. Alarm is getting fitted friday now.

Pulled them off (eventually) and there was no holes or anything.. fake screws into the amber reflectors Some kinda cool option from Autobacs i think.. either or. In the bin now!

I got my Alarm fitted last friday and went for an all singing all dancing clifford cat1 with prox sensors.. The dude Gav at Evolution was spot on, he even found my boost controller which was hidden under trim panels in the dash.

Also fitted my white/blue wheel from the mx.

SO, the wheels.. 2 turned up, then the other 2 turned up. I decided to go get tyres for them, went to one place in Aberdeen who told me they had stock.. they didnt.. They put 2 on then told me they could not inflate them as they didnt have anything for the valves.. So drove to another place to get 2 more tyres. I was charged for new valves, nitro inflation and balancing etc.. (Which they did not do) So I told this second company who said they would not charge me for this.. however, they snapped 2 of my valves O___O then told me they had no other valves that would fit.. !!!O_____O!!!!!!!!!*** I phoned them up yesterday and was told to come in today as they found valves which will fit..
So I went in this morning and they didnt fit.. fucking great!


Just seems like everything is going wrong. Got me a delimiter / speedo convertor and have no clue on how the hell to do it.

Changed the bulbs for the rear number plate, the housing for the bulbs was shattered so they dont fit any more.

The front grill I got doesnt fit, The arms I got the bushings are too done to fit, and to top this all off If I dont get the form from H&M customs to send to the dvla, to get back to then send on to Sky.. I wont have insurance. Almost; given up.

BUT.. here's some pictures of test fitting the rear 10" wheels.

i had 2 weeks off work there where i planned to get alot of work done to the car and never got anything done mostly to things completely out of my control, got a bit fucked off with the car myself but i just rest assured that once it finally gets there it will all be worth it.

HSD's turned up, Got wheels in to get the tyres fitted after Kwikfit screwed up.. DVLA have the paperwork.

Went to take the climate control apart to find out why it wont light up, looks like i need bulbs. T3,T4 or T5 i think.

Will need to check when im home - Went to check Yahoo to see how much for a new climate control and its like £100 for an LED one O__O. No thanks.

Oh that trip was just drifting However there is years worth of trips before that one I spent like 6 weeks going from one end of Japan (Okinawa) to the other stopping off in Bars/clubs etc on route.. Japanese girls are eeeeeeeasy.

Im going to be fitting the HSD's soon, So will put the KTS coilovers up for sale.

They should fit various other toyotas, they look like HSD's and have height adjustment and dampner adjustment. If anyone wants to make me an offer on them go for it.
