Just a small update! started work on the front brakes giving them a rebuild/refirb and going to paint them up! and while they are off i have these bits waiting to go on!

just a small update. got new REDstuff pads front and rear. as well as some shiny new handbrake pads :D

Also i have sold my old fmic and replaced it with this lovely apex performace kit which is nice polished stainless pipes not crappy chrome plated ally ones!

lol probs cuz ive not been driving it much lately! its been sitting on the drive for the last couple of months :cry: cant wait to get the bugger sorted then off to rk to get the dw hicas kit fitted then loan time and a trip to rising sun for a forged engine and stage 3 turbo :thumbs:
 
Right update time!
Got the Handbrake shoes on and the DoLuck lines on the car.
The calipers are off the car are have now been refirbed just gotta get some paint tomorow for them to finish them off :)

And im working on the apex fmic. got the core mounted and some of the pipes on but the 2 that go to the core i have cut to extend them out a bit. Which im going to weld a small bead around the cut end to stop them blowing off under boost!

Then after that im going to get busy fitting the japspeed elbow and the new 02 sensor i have for it and then its off to get the DW hicas kit dropped on :)
 
Right got a bit more done today got the cooler almost 100% fitted just need my new front bumper bar to turn up and then i can get the bumper back on and make sure its all lined up nice and straight!
Got a couple of pipes to replace the last of the stock stuff

Calipers painted now so gonna get cracking and fit these and my bumper bar should be here tomorow woo!

small update got this through today but waiting for the rain to stop so i can fit it and finish fitting the fmic and trimming the bumper!

Nice build i have the same brake hoses just not fitted them yet:D

Are you going to forge the rb20det as thats going to be pricey what sort of power you aiming for ??

ah well i am still gettin prices but yeh it will either get the 20 forged or one with shall we say a lot more displacement ! how is yours coming along mattolodis?
and powerwise if its the 20 then anything over 400 and if its not then 500-550 that will do very nicely

Slowly but surely thanks matey all the small end bushes have been modified and the block is just being mocked up.

If your aiming for 400 with the rb20det you shouldnt have a problem with standard pistons just make sure you fit anything that can help aid oil circulation and keep optimum oil temps, as this is what i think led to failure on mine:smash:

Good luck with the build though matey will keep my eye on this:thumbs:
 
cheers dude! well i have been given a price already for the rising sun short engine kit with forged pistons and rods and acl bearings and metal head gasket, and also with tomei cams, hks cam gears and belt, and rebuilt head. and no that i was thinking of a 6 boost manifold with a garrett gt3076 on the top and a gs racing 60mm wastegate. And that lot being fed with a walbro fuel pump and some RC 650cc injectors. Then i was putting on a new oil pump with the bigger collar my near new n1 water pump. rsp oil head drain kit, oil cooler, and a few other bits and bobs to finish it off! the other option is damo has been talking to me about putting a rb30 in :smokin: and he is working out a price for that atm and with that it will be a gt3540r goin on that one lol so will wait and see the prices and go from there!
