It wasnt the filler he had to worry about, it was the bottom end death rattle! Well done Paul, you managed to shift it just in time, must have taken a fair bit of oil to quieten it down:thumbs: Its nice to know theres still plenty of honest people out there:rolleyes:
 
I can honestly say mate... It was 100% fine when i sold it... Id just done a full oil change with braided oil feeds etc etc... There was no rattle on the day she came down to view it, and i drove it all the way to Luton to meet her, with no rattle whatsoever!
Ive just come on today to find out shes had the problem, and im completely shocked to say the least.... So i have no idea whatsoever how its happened.. I used it every day for the last 6 months with no problems from the bottom end at all??? Plenty of people who have been in the car with me who will gladly vouch for that
 
webby - pauls a sound guy and isnt out there to make a quick buck... if the botom end has gone then he genuinly wouldnt have known... i know for a fact he wasnt keen on selling his s13, but he wanted my r32 badle so he did...

eg he picked up my r32 on sat and when he got back home some thing fcuked up with the electrics leaving him in a bit of a shitty position at the mo... but same as him my car never let me down in 10 mnths and this is a crappy co-insidence it happend so soon to him... but ive offerd to help him out with it cos he was decent about it asking me advice etc... not posting negativly on a public forum...

i aint the most technically minded person, and people can vouch for that, and i was the 1 who noticed it 1st... and it was the night she got it, but if you didnt know it was like that then fine...

but looks awfully dodgy to me...

Well we caught it quite early but unfortunately as she doesnt know much about engines she didnt know what she was listening for and carried on driving it. We'll have to wait and see when we take the block apart. At a guess i'd say its just shells but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
