nice stav. its an awesome car. I think have the satisfaction is building your own car though.. driving something you have created.. the relationship with it etc.. buying the whole thing done.. wouldnt feel right to me. But thats one SAVAGE head start lol. :nod: :thumbs:

interesting that its got 4 bonnet pins.. bit overkill isnt it?
 
Fuck building cars man, I've completed loads in the past, from 200bhp 650kg Hot Hatches to 400bhp anti-lagged caged up Cossies, and gave up on nearly the same amount, and this this car, even with the small amount ive driven it so far, has made me realise unless you ENJOY building them (which I dont), its a mugs game. Fair play improving on something, adding your own touches, but starting with nothing makes no sense from a driving point of view at least.

I only like driving cars, the building of them has just always been an inevitable part as a car good enough to keep me entertained I couldnt afford or didnt exist, but this one, by the luck of Jebus (and selling S2000s), I could afford, and its job done.

I have neither the skill or money to build a car to the ridiculous spec this car is, and as I dont get any enjoyment out of anything but the use of it, it was a no brainer for me.

Months/Years of effort, cash, and heartache, to build a car thats nowhere near as good, or just buy this. Yup, ill jus buy this, lol.

And 4 pins, to stop the very flagile flappy fibreglass bonnet, it makes sense I reckon.

And im pretty sure you could have built a car to that spec.. and maybe beyond. :) Although im pretty damn sure it would have cost fair bit more than the bargain price u paid.. but I like to see my cars progress for bugger all.

You gonna be competing/demoing/podding teh SK car nows its in yer grubby mits? or is it gonna be a 'static show ho'
 
Go discuss the merits of 4 pins versus two with the Sexy Knights lot, they did it, not me, im sure they will be interested and will apologise for their lack of knowlege by adding 4 when they only needed 2.

And though I "could" have built a car to that spec, like anyone "could", going to the efforts of a full stitch welded chassis and all the custom suspension stuff/knowlege they have done means its beyond what id know about. Its not just the sum of the parts cost, its the fact its built by people who have sucessfully campaigned and won drift events in FCs in Japan for years. Ie it does work, not it should or it might, its does and its done.

And no, its going to be an ICE/Drag/VIP car, like all my previous cars (I have only ONCE in my entire life bothered to put a car on a stand at a show, and that was Japfest last year as I had to, do you really think I will start with this one?) :rolleyes:

Work here mate, live nowhere near, thankfully!

Car was around there a bit last week down the workshop, and even took a trip to Trowbridge Tescos to get some fuel, and may be down this way once or twice, but not much to be honest.

Interestingly enough I now know I can run staggered setup after Peter used his 18s at silverstone on mine with no rubbage. I took no prisoners when doin the arches for a second tiem. :nod: only issue is now a lorra smoke gets in teh cabin. lol :D

nice, read your whole build thread the other day, cars come along way in quite a short time just a shame you had to break the yoshi:(
