PS13 Rolling Shell Build

Just spent an hour or so playing on STuner.net! Great site thats developing quickly with new additions.
Have done a 'final spec' of the PS but shan't be revealing that just yet, so I've done one in its current position instead for you guys
Pretty cool I must say, with lots of options and adjustments that can be made.

Well I have been busy this evening. I'll start with my favourite bit. A little something I bought last weekend arrived today. Bought for a very good price! So of course got it fitted straight away.

Out with the old..

And in with the new..

Very very happy with them! Look ace lit up to. They've been removed now and shan't be refitted until the car has been painted.

After that I lowered the rear of the car to help fill the arch gap created by rolling the rear arches. Went well.

Very happy with the car. Pretty sure I could go lower on the rear, but I'll need to add some rear camber before doing so. I'll leave it as is for now until I've had the alignment done. Happy happy!

Cheers guys! Means a lot. The build has been full of ups and downs for me. Think I'm in the final stages now.

Bit of progress finally. Got a new windscreen fitted complete with lovely new seal. Much nicer than the original one.

And then, after having the car booked in for paint Friday evening.. A sudden turn of events has got me pulling the engine out!
Mainly to clean things up, remove some wiring that isn't needed and sort the final few issues with the engine out. Then back in and off to the bodyshop

Engine should be pulled out Friday evening Just the mounts and prop to be undone.

Tonight was spent finishing the removal of the engine and gearbox. All went well and its now ready to be cleaned up.
I should have really done all this before I even got the engine put in, in the first place but I wasn't massively aware of what would be involved at such an early stage having never done this before. However, at least its being done now.

So now with the engine and gearbox removed I started the cleaning up process last night. Dropped the oils and soon had the gearbox split from the SR.

Spent a while cleaning up the gearbox and its come out quite well. Have begun painting it but ran out of paint so need to get some more before it can be finished and put to the side. Pretty happy with how its come out so far!

Once the box was off I could also confirm that I do indeed have an Exedy clutch fitted. Which is nice

So the next plans, are to finish painting the gearbox. Then get the SR on the engine stand and start the process of pulling bits off until its bare enough to clean up, replace some parts and eventually paint. Ideally I'd like to be ready to swap parts for the weekend.

Oh right, not to much of an issue anyway.. Can still crack on where it is tbh. No rush.

They are still in the box, never even opened them to this day! Could just be a box of bricks for all I know ha ha was going onevia but sold my ps only for it to be totalled shortly after :-( when do we get to know what the bodyshop are doing colour wise or is that staying hush hush?
