Just tickets for drivers have sold out.

Have a suggestion.

Would the council allow more DWYB days if the track was wet and a noise limit ? e.g during winter months and a water truck was to go around and wet the track and noise limit and run on Saturdays

Will suck if they MAKE the track wet

Unlikely , especially when we have people using loud pipes for no reason.

Definitely a noticeable improvement over the past year, good effort from the team!

Have there ever been discussions about change in layout of the big track once in a while ? Or perhaps on occasion running the current (big track) course in reverse?

It has been discussed and even done in the past , but I think it was given a no , due to safety.

Wetting the track is ghey, people just need to stop having such retarded loud exhausts.

Also, it's pretty hard in the space given to make it much better than it is, it's a decent layout. I don't hugely like the left right wiggles between the hairpin and the first big corner, but it's making the most of what space is there really well.

^^this^^
im not really a fan of the wiggles. in the past we have taken the last wiggle out,
I always thought about keeping the right hand corner after the hairpin then have a straight leading to the exit/entry corner, but its sketchy as if people get it wrong the will go into the fence/field/people/waste oil tank, plus they will carry more speed around the corner.

when you go to other tracks you can see who the pod/roundabout regulars are as they struggle to initiate on the straights. noting looks worse than seeing someone handbrake into a slide mid corner.

running the current track in reverse is sketchy as if someone gets it proper wrong then they are going to stick it into the kidney track to the side of the main track or worse carry on through into the service road between the main track and figure eight track.

Have you ever been to pod in the rain!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been when it was raining all morning till about 9:30 then stopped.

It was only a suggestion as I for one would like more drift days. I see nothing wrong with the way pod goes now.

Just a quick one, see people kind of complaining about noobs holding up people on the big course. Isn't this the point in pod for less experienced to get practice in before going places such as lydden hill, castle Coombe and other big courses.

I myself am a bit of noob but don't exactly fancy just sitting doing donuts all day lol. You got to expect people like myself to hopefully gradually work up from smaller pens to the bigger course everyone starts somewhere and like everyone says pods best place to go and practice and learn

I don't think people are complaining about newbs holding people up, as discussed before. 4 on track doesn't really hold anyone up :)

Ah that's cool then lol. As first drift day in couple weeks and wouldn't mind having a hack at the big track later in the day depending how the rest of day goes lol. Just wouldn't want the blame for holding people up haha

if its your first time on the big track then inform the marshal and the other 3 cars in line with you in the que. that way they know to put you at the back of the 'train' and it gives the other guys a 'heads up'.
my advice would be to drive your first few laps to get used to the layout, watch the lines of the guy infront (but don't tailgate him) and get a feel for the speed,
don't try to drift the entire big corner.i usually tell people to start by initiating into the hairpin at the bottom of the big corner.
if you have a passenger then get them to help you keep a look out for the marshal on the entry/exit corner and watching for overtaking cars if you have span.
oh and keep on eye on your temperature gauge.

Cheers for advice mate will keep it in mind.

Temp gauge shouldn't move just fitted nismo cool running thermo and 70mm alley rad ;) well atleast I'm hoping it doesn't lol. Took past few weeks prepping the car so should be all good fingers crossed lol

special area?

you mean the large track?
just joint the que when you feel confident enough to do so.
that basically means you have worked your way through the smaller starter obstacles 'donuts' 'figure eights' and the 'kidney'.
this should have taught you the basic skills needed to be able to drift a track.
