Southwall Smokers.... The Lydden Hill Drift Weekend 5th 6th Oct 2013

i here all comments, from my point of view and most lydden is running betta with 10 min slots fact, but to solve your prob mate ,can you not just run better tyres to prolong your track time, new if you can afford or if not part worns with more tread than your running and do the full ten mins, what sort of tread are the ones at that your rocking?also what tyre pressures?

failing that get your mates to pit board you in at 4mins change tyres in apr ox 2 mins n back out for 4 mins, 8 mins outa ten aint bad ay

p.s im not digging just trying to find a solution for you cos im a nice chap :)

it proably does run better as the only group that worked before was experenced group the rest was just full off bottle necks, the grouping rules are much better now
haza normally 4-7mm cant afford hundreds on new tires for a fun day out be looking at a grand by the end off the day :-( thanks though

Theres your problem running shitty part worns. If i ran them would probably get one full circuit lap depending on tread. Only ever run new its not worth running anything else. And i can get about 3 blazing full circuit laps out of a full set i reckon or about 6 of the bdc section.

I bought a tire puncture repair off ebay and a load of strings so I get the sidewall puntures etc from me local tire shop. You get decent tires with good tread, just plugvem and away. The strings last longer then the tires.

I do that as well. Just got a load with good tread but seriously cracked tyre walls. Hopefully they hold up

What time is the gate open till.. i have recovery truck coming to pick my car uo later than i thought will i be able to get in after 9?

Still got some spaces tmw for sundays drifting, We wil be starting drifting at 10:30am and running til 16:00, so you'll get almost a full days drifting for £100.
Pay on the day's welcome,
Signing in will be at 9

Just want to say thanks Lez and Lydden for a great day today. I had a blast and it was so chilled out and fun, just how a drift day should be. A lot of broken cars and a lot of broken people but there was smiles all round.

what a great weekend, fantastic amount of track time and it ran so well.
Big thanks to the organisers for such a good event.

Just wanna say thanks to the organisors and everyone for a great weekend!

The saturday started out eventful, I was passenger in the black 180 that loved the tyre wall but we both still had an awesome time.

See you all at the next one :)

Its been really nice and relaxed day on saturday... nice driving from so many people. but So many crashes. Thanks to organisers .
Shame my car only lasted lap and a half.

Were you the one selling photos in the pits? Or was that another photographer?

Nope that was not me.

Have got 110 images from the Saturday just being edited now so should be up in the next hour.
If you was only there on the Saturday and you don't see a picture of yourself just message me preferably with a picture of your car and I will have look for you as I have a lot of images to look through.
If you were there Yesterday all Sunday images will be up at some point tomorrow and if you don't see yourself after those are up just do the same as above.

What an awesome weekend! Met some new people, left plenty of scars on my car and had a laugh with my mates. What more could you want?!

Was a bloody awesome weekend i stayed the whole weekend and am totally nackered but was so worth it got some really good track time pushing myself into the experienced group but was so worth it really good speed and a nice clear track, yet again met more awesome people :)

What a wicked weekend! It was the best one of these practice days that I've done, both days run smoothly.

Is there anyway of finding out what photographers were there? There was a photographer on the inside of chessons for the very last session on sunday, I think he got some wicked photos of me and wondering where I can find them
